Reading these comments and getting genuinely upset. Do I understand everyone’s point, yes. But stop not giving credit where credit is due. A lot of these comments are treating her like she’s done nothing on her own to get where she is and unless she’s just lying to our faces and playing a character in her videos, that is not true. She does work by making these videos and other online content and pays for her apartment on her own own. just because there’s a safety net from her family doesn’t mean she’s not working just as hard as others in the world Avia has been a determined, driven, hard working human HER WHOLE LIFE. She is brave and pushes through every fear and insecurity to see what life has to offer and IN SPITE of all the crap she’s been through, she CHOOSES to focus on what brings her joy and gratitude and pushes through the feelings that don’t bring her joy. There is nothing wrong with that. Stop trying to punish her because she isn’t posting all of the negative things she’s experiencing or feeling. She mentions it. She mentions feeling lonely or missing her family or Ian or home etc. BUT she focuses on in each moment, finding joy and gratitude. That’s all she’s saying. Just because she grew up (later in her childhood) with financial security, she doesn’t deserve to be punished for that. Just because HER DAD was a human being and not this perfect person like we all thought, doesn’t mean HE should be punished and it DEFINITELY doesn’t give anyone permission to hold HIS struggles over HER head. If you are mad at someone who doesn’t sit and focus on why life is hard and why this world can be so dark and depressing, take a look in your own self and ask why. This is a 19 year old learning and growing and doing her absolute best to find the best in EVERYTHING around her. You CAN learn from her. Stop trying to knock her down a few pegs. She HAS been through things. She HAS conquered a LOT of trials. Let her live! And for what it’s worth, yes, Shay made A LOT of mistakes. But what counts is what he did after that. He’s shown genuine remorse. He has grown. He advocates AGAINST his past actions. That’s all a human being can do. I’m proud of him. I’m proud of Avia. You should be too.
