My ancestors sacred Mjolnir necklace is a piece of a distorted puzzle that is my salvation that saves me from a heart attack because my own were wrongfully accused of commiting the worst act of betrayal to all of our own that we don't want harm to come to. Along with my ancestors Mjolnir necklace are a destroyed sacred rune stone family tree remembrance monument created only for sacred chieftains with the family theonymn name Thor engraved on it that Harold Godwinson swore a sacred oath up on along with sacred oath rings that my own took to the grave that are worn to state they refuse to betray or dominate those they are family to and equal to. The old freedom fighting norse chieftains refused to be the bane of their own who they refused to dominate that they swore oaths and wore oath rings and created an empire that was divided to divert to preserve the freedom fighters nomad way that became lost to so called unity of the one ring of power that corrupted many minds with the one dominant race of the one true god that terrorised the middle east and Africa and Asia and Australia and America and any good pagans of all Eurasia who became enslaved by the religion that uses them as puppets against their own and many other races that were meant to be their allies.

Mjolnir. I only wear it if I'm preparing to venerate the gods. Iggdrasil. To me, it represents a connectedness of all things. I wear this mostly. I primarily connect with the Land Spirits. I talk to my local land spirits every morning before sunrise. I leave offerings that the animals in the backyard can consume.

Most often I drum, but also sing and dance. You can both sing and dance yourself in to a trance. I love it when the song " sings you " ❤ And I light candels and talk freely from the heart..... theres many ways, and you are never alone. You can feel alone, but that is a passing feeling and not the whole truth. You are The Belowed ❤❤❤

To me wearing our Mjolnir gives us independent rights and freedoms that we don't have to fight violently for and it also divides us from the dominant white race that scares far too many innocent multicultural allies of ours who are from many different races.

Very interesting question to ask on a daily basis. This symbol in my opinion represents a growing force and understanding of all things pre Christians understood as the natural world, or at least some that try to preserve the more ancient ways stemming from something more ancient and older. I seek alot of wisdom from all traditions and pre Christian paths and even the rig vedas but overall all the people stem from a common or similar indo european belief and cosmology. The symbol represents constant growth and development or rather adapting to this time and now, because this practice is organic and always growing and not stagnate like words on parchment or literature.

A symbol of strength and protection. The hammer represents a tool that can build or be used for self-defense. There are still a lot of lion-hearted warriors and protectors who wear this. Unfortunately, it has also been somewhat hijacked by larper cowards who wear masks when they are told and are ok with the enslavement of their brethren. Run and hide in a hole if you wish.....

To me personally, it's about being the protector and provider like Thór himself. A tangible reminder who I am as a father and husband with all the responsibilities and tasks that come with being that. Mjölnir reminds me of the lessons of our ancestors. They walk with me, their strength is mine and that of my children. Verthú heilir from the Netherlands!

For me it's all about my history, heritage, culture and faith. I also wear a Celtic cross with my hammer for the same reasons, except for the religious aspect. To a point. Jesus did deliver a good message. It's what the Christians have done to it that bothers me.

Not all christians, I went to Greece one day last year and attended a orthodox liturgy. Didn't understand anything but it is was infinitely better than my local lutheran churches. People came and left when they wanted, the doors were always open and people stood up when they felt the presence of God rather than when the priest told them to stand. If you come in late in a lutheran church people look at you angrily, as if it were middle-school and you were late for class. It's a shame, really.

knowing a bit about black smithing I've always interpreted Mjolnir as a representation of the human heart with the beating of the hammer being the heart beat and the strength of human vitality. to me it makes sense as he is not only the thunder God but the God of the common working ppl. I'm terrible at explaining myself so sorry if that makes no sense to you

Gungnir was also used to pierce Odin's side when he hung from the tree, from his blood supposedly came the Runes. So wisdom and/or magickal intuition perhaps can also be associated with Odin's spear.

As one who owns a gungnir pendant, I find it can be a boost to my intuition both inside of and outside of meditation. It has all 25 runes and the valknut as well. My interest lies in both that I am close to Odin, and the Gungnir's ability from the legends is that it always hits it's target. True, Odin is a god of war and death, however he is also a god of wisdom, poetry, as well as the lord of ecstasy. It's not all war and death with Odin.

Because he was a bit of a knob. Wise, sure. But also capricious, self-absorbed and, well, a ballsack. Thor was a bit more relatable, and attentive, to the common folk
@rexmagi460626 күн бұрын
True, but it isn't just a spear, it is Odin's spear as you said. Odin does not go around throwing his spear to stir up conflict and chaos. He wields it with temperance and control until the time comes to strike a decisive blow against a rising threat to peace and order. In a way then, it could be worn to signify that the wearer understands the time for peace and the time for war. We do live in a world of conflict unfortunately, so I don't mind being prepared to throw down the spear.
@therideinmidgard26 күн бұрын
I take your point (pun) however I think that Thor's hammer symbolises that meaning more so than Odin's spear.

Thor spent most of his time killing giants with his hammer. He had a sharp temper and tended to whip out his hammer and try to kill anything that annoyed him a bit. So to me, Thor's hammer seems to be a much more violent and warmongering symbol than Odin's spear. In the stories, there is only like twice that Odin uses his spear in battle. But Thor uses his hammer in almost every story.
