I made a playlist that's perfect for you. It might still be 60% or 80% of everything they did, so maybe it will help you find everything you missed, in 20% or 40% less time than you would otherwise :)

We boomers had events called 'happenings' and they sometimes became spontaneous. When a spontaneous happening event 1968 fall or rainy days winter 1969, we assembled at the Avalon ballroom and twice quick silver messenger service played this song.The latter time from 1:56 a.m. until 3:14 a.m. next day we all were entranced with that version and the attenuated sounds of 'the fool' remained unnamed, as gorgeous music @ that time was a happening!

I recollect a year or two later listening to QMS in Marin concert as they awaited a musician stating a fourth guitar was being delayed. Eventually, we all figured that they had on the original soundtrack four, four guitarists!

L'interpretazione più impressionante di quest'aria eccezionale per me! Dietrich Fischer-Diskau e Kiri Te Kinawa esprimono il genio creativo unico di Mozart in un modo incomparabile - nella lingua che parlano gli angeli del cielo.

This Count does not sound furious, just aggrieved. On the contrary, the facial expressions are greatly overplayed. But in an excerpt, such considerations are highlighted unfairly.

It is unfortunate that there are no videos of Quicksilver's live performances of The Fool. There seems to be a consensus that John Cipollina is the lead guitar on the studio recording of The Fool and in live performances as well. But there are those who claim Gary Duncan was the lead guitar. If you listen carefully to the studio version of The Fool, and also live performances, you can hear two guitars. I always assumed Cipollina was the lead but am no longer sure. If anyone knows for certain the answer to that question I would appreciate hearing what you have to say.

I just listened to a live version and Gary Duncan is doing the heavy lifting at the beginning. He plays the Leslie lead (though couldn't use a Leslie effect live) at around 2:35 and he had jazzier tastes (like in Gold & Silver) so he's doing that stuff starting at around 3:17. John Cipollina supports him through this and does the jungle sounds with wah-wah at around 5 minutes in. Bottom line is that the tendency is to credit everything to John when Gary played a lot as well. And he co-wrote the song with David Freiberg too.

can pls somebody tell me, why it means 'contessa perdono' and not 'contessa perdona'? its imperative.
@sandywaddell4303
@sandywaddell4303 Жыл бұрын
I think I might’ve answered your question on another thread, but even though it’s usually translated as a verb in the imperative (“forgive me”), it makes sense grammatically if he’s asking for her pardon, thus the use of the masculine noun “perdono.”

I always loved this song. Nothing quite like it. I've never heard anything like it before or since. Does anyone know who provided the female back up vocals on "the Fool?" . Those backing vocals are very effective in backing Frieberg's lead . Uncredited on the album

I would like to see this piece done by a full orchestra. I think it would be quite reminiscent of Franz Liszt. Anyone agree?

It wouldn't need a full orchestra, I think, except for the ending. You could get by without it. Calvary, on the other hand, needs a full orchestra and a choir.
