Bullshy ! For high altitude the plane can unlocks parachutes only after it descends under 8k ft, period. Second: for weight, the solution is one suitcase less per customer, period. Third: The exit for parachutes can be made in the back of the plane. The rest is easy, before everyone dying you can save a few lives with parachutes. Period

Finally somebody talking about something I saw this in South Florida 20 years ago but it's definitely not used enough also just moving around an empty police car deters speeding and doesn't cost the salary of an officer

all great things come with drawbacks, kudos to strava for even releasing their goated dataset Honestly if a normal app would be able to leak this than I think that enemies would be able to do so as well with backdoors/advanced technology

I have mixed feelings about it. I'll never be a pilot (though I do intend to get Microsoft Fligtht Simulator), but I've always been interested in aviation...and it was a historic field. On the other hand, it's use had become a bit too elitist, and I hate elitism thoroughly. I have to admit that having general aviation landing in the middle of the city seems a bit batshit...and it's a great spot for a park. Maybe I'll talk myself into finding a route into Chicago that doesn't involve I-57...the traffic on that road has been insane for decades...with a high rate of fatalities, because people drive like they think they're in a video game.

Wow… I wonder why this video is so chipper. The government is literally holding back energy technologies because it would “ destroy our economy “ Actually it would destroy the mega wealthy in oil, coal, and all other fuel sources. While releasing the people from modern slavery.

In the context of this video, you're using Theory completely incorrectly... Theory isn't just a bunch of guesses, that's a hypothesis. Theory in the context of science, (especially in nuclear physics) is data or a model that has been proven experimentally in peer reviewed studies and held to be true, but hasn't been validated enough to be scientific law.

I see that some comments say that there is not much to see in Somaliland. Not so. It has many amazing prehistoric rock paintings and stone burial sites, ruined medieval towns in the west of the country, one of the earliest mosques at Zeila, Sheikh Secondary School (the Eton of Somalia), excellent goat and camel cuisine, extraordinary wildlife (though the largest animals were shot-out when rifles became widely available), and spectacular scarps and salt pans. Personally I also liked the style of popular music. I could go on, but rest assured, you can easily fill an enjoyable fortnight in Somaliland and still not exhaust what it has to offer.

I'm glad the Mid-Atlantic accent never went mainstream. I've always interpreted it as an obnoxious affectation, something that didn't at all reflect reality, just like the "Valley girl" accent. (Much to my disgust, though, the "Valley" accent HAS gone mainstream. I hear it all the time, and in fact heard it in this very video. I recognize it by the snarky diphthongization [o+u] of the long "o" vowel sound, as in "I am sowe clowes to being broweke right now!") If I ever met a "Mid-Atlantic" individual in person, I would become immediately suspicious, assuming the person was either living in a fantasy world or was a con artist. I find it a little hard to understand, though, why anyone would confuse "classic" American movie characters with English/British people. Cary Grant's character says "gonna" instead of "going to" in the above clip. Maybe I'm wrong, but I can't imagine any respectable British person in the prewar era using that pronunciation; it would be even more gauche than saying "okay."
