Mega cool.

Why take on such an advance project while only being a beginner? Shouldn't you build more of a foundation of fundamentals before tackling a difficult line? I'm not trying to be a hater, I've only tried slacklining once and it's the hardest thing I've ever tried. But as you mention, you have friends that would have no problem on this line.

Hi, thanks for your comment. As mentioned in the video, I am not a slackline, just a highline beginner. But you are right: my friends also say that especially this highline over the river is pretty advanced compared to other highline setups. So why don't I choose an easier setup? The answer is very simple: I am taking every chance to get on a highline! Most highline setups are very complex to rig because you need to go to the mountains (climbing) or special permits that are hard to get (from building to building). This highline over the Isar river is extremely easy to rig (just one hour setup), and it's located directly in my hometown - just 10 minutes to get there! Like this, I can react on good weather conditions very spontaneously and even rig the line with only one friend (mostly we are more). Imagine: only in December, I was six times on this highline! My motivation is very high, that's why even a slow progress (many fails, only few steps) doesn't discourage me. In fact, I am making an incredible progress because of the high frequency (not to forget that it's winter time now) and keeping my age of 52 years in mind!
