There won’t be enough people able to earn a down payment or qualify for a mortgage. Rental gouging will become prevalent. It will take 10-20 years before increased supply affects the housing prices. And all the usage on infrastructure like roads, sewage, water, garbage. Who will pay for those increases in services ? Tax increases ?? Replacing brake fluid, air filters, differential fluids, etc. whether they need it or not. And a lot of manufacturers don't supply a maintenance schedule. Try finding a maintenance manual for a Honda made in the last few years. And "extreme conditions" could be 75% of the planets climate
