This isn’t the ad that I remember. It is the same song though. I didn’t hear it until 73 I believe. Funny thing though, I lived in the Midwest and we didn’t have Fanta. My parents used to send us kids “down south” to grandma’s farm for the summer. I used to like it because I got to have my favorite soda Fanta Red Cream. I did just read that Fanta has started making Red Cream soda again, I must have some!

Glad to know that the great Dick Butkus was a pivotal and key player in this game, as well as a cocaptain. Dick Butkus was the best, among the best. Doctor George Whitehead

I was at the Fair four times. Great fun. This video doesn't show much of the exhibits though, except for the water works at the end. Every night a 9:00 PM.

I remember seeing them film a scene with Elvis and a young Kurt Russell from the movie (It Happened the Worlds Fair). I was amazed on how long it took complete such a small scene, movies take forever to make.

Great film clip! Was a good area to grow up in. we lived 3 mi North of (what was then) little 'ol Bothell but just over the Snohomish line. I was 11 that summer. We had many out of town friends & family visit us to go to the fair. from the top of a huge fir tree i liked to climb i could see the top half of the space needle with binos- just sticking out over the hills 20 miles to the Southwest.

What stands out to me, the '62 World's Fair was less than 17 years after the end of WWII. How impressive the country seemed.

Was a great time to live & work in Seattle! Friendly people and never a thought about safety. More civility back then, definitely. The lack of hi-rise buildings downtown is breath-taking, compared to today!

I remember taking my first ride to the top of the space needle as a kid. Those huge columns zipped by on the way up, then the door opened at the top, and the gap between the door, and the entrance seemed like the Grand Canyon to me! Yikes! Seattle Centers hay day was an incredible time in history. So very grateful to be a part of it!

Glad someone was smart enuff to do this looking back to when Seattle was a care free and wonderful place to be compared to the toilet it is today...I grew up in this town in the 50s and seen it turn to $hit 😣.what a terrible disatser its turned out to be, absolutley discusting and proves how far the world and civilization has declned
@bonniebluebell59402 ай бұрын
Absolutely...Just about the same for Vancouver and all of our cities in Canada. I was a kid in those days and remember how care-free and simple it was compared to now. We had a common culture with morals and manners. Families were strong and disciplined. Life was full of hope and promise. We are living a dystopian nightmare now. All I can see is the broken dream --the wreckage of "The Great Betrayal".
