Hey I honestly just want to say thank you for you hard work and dedication you put in to this video you were particular about what parts you were going to use I did make some short cuts but there was a point I at first went to take out the fork that was wore out because I figured that's the one I ordered nope so now I got a brand new fork for the one that was still looking fairly decent but the one that has almost no life left on it and I guess that one is my 3&4 th but really i dont think i would of been so confident about doing the job if you didn't make it look so dam easy lol but I have replaced it and it works so i guess i will be doing this again soon 😅

The operator one is important. Always have a good relationship with them because most often then not they’ll always guide you to the problem or be more open to tell you what has been happening to the machine for sometime to pin point the issues.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I don’t associate with unions or their people! And no unions DO NOT exist in my area anymore and I’m very glad they don’t! They didn’t protect the 200 people at the local propane tank manufacturing company that was here, they closed their doors and booted everyone out several years back and left all of them unemployed. I also don’t subscribe to that logic that I need a union to protect my job, fuck that job there’s others that need workers more than the one I was at.

Could be a leaking capacitor, or one of the components in the RCL filter circuitry is causing it to squeal. I’ve never had on that squeals myself but I’d like to try and find that fault. Sounds like I could learn some stuff with an oscilloscope on that issue.

I'm an Electronic Tech, what do you mean "weld the belts"? Is this a trolling thing, like sending the FNG off to find a metric Crescent wrench?
@lonewolftech
@lonewolftech 6 ай бұрын
Metric crescent wrenches actually exist they have a different thread pitch than a standard one 😂 and we weld our belts we have a long roll of a belt material that we physically melt together and weld them. We have a welder and everything for it, it’s a friction weld. Cheaper in the long run than link belt is.

I was an electrician in large maintenance shops for 50 enjoyable years. I had an electrical license to perform a lot of commercial side work so know the code better then the vast majority of co-workers & so called engineers. I never backed down when they demanded that I do an install against the code. Would ask them to put the job in writing and sign it in front of another person but they always backed down. Make sure to attend continuing education classes and make sure your company provides you with the proper PPE that must include rubber gloves that were tested and date stamped within the last 6 months. Have refused to perform energized work because my rich fortune 500 company refused to have our gloves tested in time. They wanted 6 electricians to share one pair of 1,000 & 20,000 volt rubber gloves and insulated tools. Told them I do not share underwear, tooth brush, gloves, or tools with anybody. We had a 1,200 amp 480 volt safety switch that supplied power to plants air compressors. Several times I asked them to order spare 1,200 amp fuses but they told me to just get a piece of copper tubing and smash the ends closed and use them. Told them to put it in writing so OSHA can come visit after reading the letter. To!d me that I was not a team player but got spare fuses. Don't let production bosses attempt you to perform dangerous things to get equipment back on line. Had two ahole bosses that would always asked me as I walked into the room how long it would take. Told then that I'm Tom the Electrician and not Tom the magician or fortune teller. Then when they would be breathing down my back would try to demand a time to troubleshoot & repair the problem. Would unbutton my shirt and tell them sorry don't see no Superman emblem in my chest. Of course they reported me to the facilities director and told him that I know what I was doing and don't have time to answer dum ass questions. Get good at troubleshooting especially VFD"S. While I was an apprentice the chief electrician told me to get good no really good at troubleshooting. He told me they could train a monkey to run conduit & install luminares. I got a lot of overtime troubleshooting & repairing VFD'S and motor starters and control circuits.

I've watched this video 3 times now. You're spot on with every point you make. You'd make a great Maintenance Planner/Supervisor! I literally work for a guy now that's never been a maintenance tech. It's hard to work for someone who hasn't walked in your shoes. These companies need to stop hiring management that know a few buzz words and all they really do is approve PTO, talk about safety, go to meetings, and send emails. Also, if these people are finance guys they just try to do maintenance on the cheap and then move on to another place in a few years leaving behind a mess. It's amazing what the wrong people in leadership can do to a company in a short time!

Great video, putting together a M5R2 for my ranger swap, replaced the top gasket and noticed the shift fork was not in the best shape. Suggestion on those detent balls/springs that I'm going to try. Take a nail, cut the top off and grind flat, then use one of those sliding wood clamps with the screw tighteners. You can use that to push the spring/ball down until it's held down by the shift bar as you install it, and it should make it a bit easier IMHO. I'll let you know how it goes when my shift fork comes in and I take a whack at it. :)
