Nowhere to go, nothing to do. Just resting in and as the fullness of Life....OR ... If the mind gets hold of it, the experience of fear and lack which in turn will most often lead to seeking and avoiding in one form or another. Self inquiry is the practice or the art of letting go of the latter and returning to one's true identity thus breaking identification with a limited sense of self, the source of all suffering.

We are unable to naturally 'Awaken' because our minds are made neurotic by the foods we eat today. Since around the time we humans created "Agriculture" we began consuming carbohydrates...and that was the beginning of our descent towards ill health and diseases. The consumption of carbohydrates causes the human body to no longer produce vital ketones. Try eating ONLY meat, eggs, salt and water for at least six weeks (to allow the transition from carb burning to fat burning) and be amazed at your miraculous health transformations. You will discover what they mean when a carnivore-diet person talks about "Carnivore Calm" or "Carnivore Zen"...a kind of Awakening in itself, which can then lead to Enlightenment.

Thank you so much for posting this. Nisargadatta speaks about this and so does Jean Klein, not to mention JK Krishnamurti book, Freedom from the Known. It's great to hear a modern "teacher" speaking about this from the same POV just using different words. The "end of the mind" and stepping into the unknown, just giving up completely and 100% surrendering any attempt or expectation that the mind will ever get this because it absolutely literally can't. A conceptual object can only appear in the non-conceptual space, (objects in awareness are reliant upon space/awareness) so using a conceptual object like the Mind is like a dog chasing it's tail. It will never ever figure it out, have to go one step further and see it's limitations and once it's seen then surrender happens on it's own. Thanks again, love to listen to nondual pointings.

I didn't even watch the video now (seen it before). But the title "Achieving total failure" took a whole new meaning in my life as sudden, abrupt change just recently. Namely I failed. Just got to live with it now.
Question. It is clear that the chase of liberation is not the problem, as we all got into delusion before starting the search. So, why would there be a shift when that subsides? I suspect that here he refers not to that craving but to general sense of feeling better somewhere in the future, but even if that subsides, why would that release one from buying the lie of separation? Since it all ties back to a sense of a self, wouldn't investigating that and seeing that it can't be found repeatedly, be a more sensible path? On the other hand all of this is another attempt to conceptualize, just thought.

@ 0:10 "be at that place: nowhere to go, nothing to do." That reminded me of the Beatles, "You Never Give Me Your Money." That song cycles from depression, frustration & nirvana. It was written when their manager started Apple records, and their careers became a business brand. Net worth was on paper; the artists were frustrated with all the entanglements & explanations (mismatched goals between riches and doing what they love). Then it switches to the frustrating early days (playing music for love; struggling to work other jobs to make ends meet). Then switches to how they treasured those "magic moments," "nowhere to go." That's when it was all worthwhile (who they were, being). Then switches to a different way of looking at the present moment: "one sweet dream came true today." They could go anywhere, do what they one, nowhere to to. In a very luxurious way. The luxury got in the way of what had been important to them. But, it actually enabled more of what they would have valued back when they were simplier, less "brand." I always think of that song, "oh that magic feeling... no where to go... One sweet dream... came true... today!"

I could not agree more. That is my experience as well and I recognize myself in every single word. Yet what are yogis doing through discipline, then? Aren't they trying to achieve self realization?
@Nothingness000 Жыл бұрын
My understanding is that the yogic discipline is in the early stages of spirituality. Surrender as described by Adyashanti is at the higher stages.
@bhaktimaddalena-nakedlife Жыл бұрын
@@Nothingness000 maybe it is the difference between what is referred to as "progressive path" and "direct path": in the latter the highest form is surrender, as also pointed out by Ramana Maharshi. I, for my part, have found myself in this one, whereas discipline was never my cup of tea and resulted in a superego wanting to become something. Many blessings for your path and cheers to our "blissful failures" 😉.

Adya says it. This is pure gold. It is also a huge paradox! The seeking for realization, is what prevents it. That which is "sought" is always already present (as Reality, Consciousness, Beingness or whatever word one prefers) So seeking = turning away from That.
@mikelisteral78639 ай бұрын
then find a word that means turning towards that and use that teaching instead of wasting your time saying dont seek
