I think the song sums up her whole life. The saddest part of Saya and Diva is that they are both nothing more than science experiments. While Saya was given the role of a social experiment, Diva was the clinical experiment. While Saya's caretaker came to really care about her, Diva's caretaker only sees her as nothing more than a mean to an end. That is why Saya sees humanity as more than a food source while Diva sees humanity as nothing but her food source. But in the end, Diva's children get to live the life that she didn't. And it was painfully bittersweet as she entrusted her children to the only person who understand what it means to have a family because I think Diva knows that she will only mess things up. She was looking to die because in the end she knew she was in the wrong but no one gve her the right, the freedom, or the wisdom on how to make things right. She was the empitome of twisted innocence.

I remember my best friend was obsessed with anime back in the day. He LOVED blood+. I eventually gave it a try, as a "Meh if it shuts him up..." and I ended up loving the show. We had many passionate arguments and debates about Diva and Saya.

Some articles says that Diva is a Graded A+ Psychopath but for me she's a Sociopath, Dark Empath and Histrionic Disorder and Saya grow up with Empathy and love and care but both of them are the same in their Inner Mostrous Self.

Such anime happens once every few years for about 1000 other mediocre titles. I watched it 3 times in 2008, in 2015 and 2020 I come here on a regular basis and listen to this beautiful voice.

I can absolutely understand, this song also brings me today real cold run down the spine. This song describes the absolute tragedy of Diva. Was mich erschreckt, that many youngerAnime-Fans do not even know or watch this masterpiece.
