Im no pro but you really don't need to super lash a bipod, it's not supporting a lot of weight... Take 1ft of cord and tie a loop. Slide the loop over the 2 poles and twist them opposite like a windlass until it's right and be done with it..

you are mistaken as far as flint is concerned, how you distinguish flint from chert is where it forms, flint is formed in chalk layers whereas chert is formed in limestone, flint is a type of chert. America has flint and chert. Flint is found in other areas of the world as well.

I wrapped my Überleben ferro rod with duct tape, it’s good for sealing wounds with pitch, patching gear, and as an emergency fire starter along with my paracord that has the waxed thread for fire starting
