I just love that deep roar of the 504 diesel. Most of the ones I had took a little sniff to get them going

That is a incredible video. I did a similar job on a 445 i bought. Sat for 15 years. Froze up solid. Alot cheaper than what you had to do. But when it first fires up is a incredible feeling. Been using mine for 9 years since. God bless and Happy independence day.

What a treat!!! I haven't seen many LPs. Love these. Sounds gooood!!!!!! Keep that baby going, and get some tires on it. The Front LP setup almost looks like an aftermarket dealio. I've seen them before but rare.!

Good find! Local neighbor had 2 of those back in the day, and could not keep the FWD working. Don't remember what the issue was but they were eventually parked with very few hours on them.....diesels. The MM LP engines were great, some were on irrigation systems and ran for many years.
@clydeschwartz18 күн бұрын
I bet the lock up the previous owner had was in the clutch. The way the handle is back and not engaging the nut on the back of the top transmission shaft is spun loose and it won't let the clutch over center. I have a Mf 97 do that years ago
@clydeschwartz18 күн бұрын
It runs really nice for sitting that long of time
@theda850two20 күн бұрын
The MFWA Isn't particularly rare on those tractors, but I still think it makes them pretty unique :) The only detriment might be the hand operated clutch, but it really isn't really a problem if you're just using it as an implement towing tractor.

I wonder if it actually locked up like the previous owner said. It sounds smooth as silk to me. No abnormal ticking or knocking. Seems to turn over evenly too. Glad it's still alive, in any case. Thanks for sharing!

I don't think a lot of people, especially The Arrogant John Deere people that is so brainwashed appreciated the Minneapolis Moline tractors, they were a Powerhouse and a damn good tractor!

I'm kinda a John Deere guy but I grew up on Moline. It's too bad those aren't around anymore. I don't know if it is fair but I don't like White because of what they did to MM and Oliver. Moline were built like tanks. I certainly love using ours
