Nice videos. I have a question. Can you do small non structural welds (just bigger than a tack weld) on heat treated 4140 without pre and post heat treatment?

If it doesn't need to have any strength.

Samsucks!!! So frustrating!! This is the second time within a year that I’ve had to deal with this issue! Why can’t we hold these companies responsible?!! Is there a class action lawsuit I can get in on? This is just a rip off. You can see where they used the wrong kind of insulation to begin with! All that black melted crap all over the back and on the freezer part. Why do we have to pay for their crappy manufacturing mistakes? I am never buying another Samsung product! Samsucks!!!

I've always said the HD doesn't make their money on bikes... They make it selling parts to fix their bikes. $75 seal is ridiculous!

Hi Terry, great video as usual, Perhaps you’ve covered this already but how do you prep this parts for welding? Do they arrive more or less clean or do you have to clean and prep them?

Good to see you again Terry. I never have Tig welded anything I have a Mig welder and an 2 different arc welders. Looks to me like you can get more precise welds using the TIG welder or is that the operator?

Both! But you can weld a razor blade to a boat anchor with TIG. You'd never do that with MIG.

When you hadn't posted anything for a while, I assumed you decided to give it away ?? A couple years back I was getting a fair few Titanium parts to weld through a subcontractor. I was glad when they eventually stopped coming. All welded inside a chamber. Not exactly fun welding inside basically a bead blast cabinet for most of the day 😒

Yes You tube is bad about de-monitizing videos. And why would you want to bother wasting your time doing videos. I don't have enough subs to me monitized but I am getting to the point of saying I have projects that have to get done why should I stop and break into the middle of something I need to work on to make a video. Wow I have never welded on titanium before and you make it look easy. Thanks for the video..

Always great to see one of your videos pop up. Hope you and the Mr’s are doing well and that dr’s appt turns out good. 👍🏻 Quick question, do you keep a chart of what filler to use with what material or do you just have it memorized after all these years? I’m assuming some exotic materials require weird fillers.
@txsviking2 ай бұрын
I don't have a chart. It's just natural for me after so many years as a job shop welder, 52 years this Sept. Sometimes I will ask the customer to specify the filler metal but 95% of the time they leave it up to me.
