This is an opera buffa, a comedy, so they mix scenes from Don Giovanni, Le Nozze di Figaro etc, Mozart's works.

A portmanteau/medley of all of Mozart’s famous tunes in the form of a sort of “poor man’s opera” so that high culture could be made accessible to those who weren’t fortunate enough to pay the high prices to access it in its original form or simply for those who didn’t care for all the stuffing and powdered wigs of the mainstream theater. Such performances were widely common and popular across classical music-era Europe. See Jon Gay‘s Beggar’s Opera which premiered in England many decades before this, but followed the same concept and originated this form.

@@chriss.3817 ^ It’s not an opera buffa. Not in the sense of a proper opera (buffa or seria) in which you would have needed to sit down and be quiet throughout. Yes, it’s comedic, but it’s a portmanteau/medley of different tunes meant for the more common folk (as opposed to the high classes and nobility/royalty who attended the regular theater) and as you can see, the atmosphere is chill and interactive. Everyone is having fun and there is no need to sit there quietly which you’d need to do during any proper opera.

That’s because she is. She expressly says to her husband, I don’t like what that man did with your opera. She’s a realist and is in a tight position, watching the family finances and understands that what’s going on is currently simply working.
