I know this is 7 months old but the way he applies "show don't tell" is so terribly literal it hurts. It's a good basic tip for writing but it doesn't have to apply to literally EVERYTHING. A reunion soldier reporting to mephisto that Rhodes got away is a completely natural interaction which is worth showing cause there is more to that scene right after it. His suggestion of replacing that with Reunion "looking around for Rhodes" is completely unnecessary when the previous scene already showed that they got away with the smoke. Not only that but you still need to have the scene with Mephisto cause we need to know that he's going away and leaving things to Frostnova so that we arent confused on why hes not here but in Lungmen later. His own suggestion would literally bore him more cause having a forced "Reunion looking around" scene would waste more time than just showing the natural interaction. It's clear that the only thing he cares about are fight scenes cause anytime characters dare talk to each other he spaces out, though this was already apparent from his season 1 reactions where he just completely misinterprets what's going on.

Exactly, I'm just worried that it might not continue before it gets to the interesting part of the story. What they could've done is change and add some stuff in season 1 to make it better, but that probably would cause another problem. Either that the people would complain that it's not how the story actually went, or that they change/add too much stuff to the point it may effect what happen later. So just keeping the story exactly the same, despite the early chapter being poorly written, is the safest route.

it is definitely due to focus on detail background and character design rather than dedicating time on animating motion. this is a fair trade off since its a gaccha game adaptation. or it could also be they are speedrunning the ch 4 and 5. only time will tell.

You mean the famelic gacha that will give you no pulls ? Sure, you're guaranteed to get the guy on the banner for the second six stars you pull. But each individual pull is 1.5% instead of 2%, and the pity goes to 70. So it's 140 pulls. And as a comparison, it's also 90 whatever cleardrops daily and 100 weekly, that's ~3100. You've got 17 pulls monthly with a 1.5% rate. That's, roughly if my math isn't incorrect, 22.5% to land a 6 star monthly. While AK you have 100 daily, 500 weekly, and annihilation, that's a total of ~12200 monthly. 21 pulls at 2% rate. PLUS 5 from the commendation shop, PLUS the free 3/4 and occasional 5 and 6 stars from recruitment. Just from the 26 pulls at 2%, that's 41% chance to land a 6 star. From recruitment I don't know if there are stats, but personally I'm roughly at 1.5 month for a 6 stars. And we don't know how generous Reverse is going to be with free pulls later with events and stuff, but we know AK is giving 10 to 20 free pulls and has usually 5 pulls in the event shop. I prefer having the wrong 6 star than being forced to whale to even have the chance to have a 6 star.

@@ZheinPasRoux You forgot factoring in the extra pulls you get from Limbo, it's equivalent of the Abyss/Annihilation- along with the 10 monthly pulls you get from the shop with the Track of the Lost resource. With dailies, weeklies, sign in, limbo, monthly shop and the free BP It would total to 36 pulls in a month without considering any events. You're also ignoring the fact that Arknights' 100% guarantee before a 6 star is actually higher than Reverse 1999. It's 70 at the very most in Reverse assuming worst case scenario, while Arknights could still go beyond that for a true guarantee. And of course depending on the player you are, quantity of pulls isn't necessarily better. You'd want to take into account the overall usefulness of an operator into your account as well. If I pull 2 Sieges and a Pallas before I pull an Ines, is that really going to be more satisfying than if I had only gotten 2 6 stars and my desired character was the second? Sure I got more, but how many of these characters would be equally as good as the one I want? Having more security can be greater than having more pulls, if those pulls have a good chance of being duds. You're overexaggerating the stinginess of Reverse 1999 and the generosity of Arknights. You don't need to whale in that game, the difference between 1.5% and 2% per pull isn't even massive. And practically every 6* unit in that game so far, barring one, has been a top tier unit.
