This is the silliest recommendation but I heard and then tried it from an Elise Myers reel....I never had acne as a teen but in adulthood...maybe like you said after going off bc! Anyway, I tried 1000 potions with little success and per her suggestions now I just use a soft ish scrubby brush and headband shoulders to wash my face and body and it's not perfect but better than anything else I've tried.

TRUE! I figured Pen had to know a lil more than the others once I heard Lady Whistledown talk about the honeymoon. It was indirect but sounded like she knew what was going down 😂 What was in those books, my gurl!

In the second part when they sleep together for the first time girl is like, “what do you want me to do?” Colin says, “I’ll do everything.” Girl said, “No. What do you want me to do?”And what gets me is how innocent she looks asking it but there was nothing innocent about it🤣 And in the last episode she was on top of him, riding him. Bitch did not come to play🤣

Miscommunication trope. Learned it was the worst thing to exist in literature when I read Romeo and Juliet for school, and have maintained that opinion in the years following. If your plot only works because your characters are fucking idiots, who don’t know how to use words, then your plot is shit. I said what I said.

This made me realize, that I actually DNFd a book once, a very long time ago, and I think it's to this day the only book I actively DNFd: It didn't even have paragraphs. Like, nota single one. Like, 200 pages with not even one (1) single line break! (I noticed after 15 pages and immediately decidet it wasn't worth it, put it away, and never even thought about it again until now.)

I think I've only ever DNF'd 3 books. One because the main character was a very poorly written "I'm not like other girls" t The second had a rape analogy scene that was handled EXTREMELY poorly, and for no good reason, and the third because it handled something about my religion extremely disrespectfully. Lol it takes a lot for me to DNF. Honestly I could see myself giving that first one another go, now that I know the hype around it was wrong (to me at least). The other two, thoug? Hard pass.

For me it's the opposite, chapters that are only a couple of pages make me feel like I'm being rushed through the novel when I prefer to really marinate in a story and I'll stop reading out of frustration. Also my ADHD ass will interpret stopping reading at the end of a chapter the same way as finishing a book so I will DNF a book with too many chapters just because the moment I put it down I'll forget that I haven't actually finished it. But also surprise pregnancy and 'I'm not like other girls' mcs.
