While this is very useful info, but I happen to have just the opposite problem. Since I've backed up all photos by syncing my phone to Google Photos and now I'm running out of space on my phone, so I've been trying to delete the ones on my phone to no avail. Once the one on the phone is deleted, so does the backed up one. Any help would be appreciated.

Deleting photos from your phone should not delete them from Google Photos, it's designed to work that way for exactly this reason. But, you do need to make sure you delete them using the Gallery or files app on your phone, not the Google Photos app, otherwise it will delete them from Google Photos as well. Settings, accesability , interation control. Turn it on and follow instructions. This freezes the screen on my old tab A. It's a great tool for tracing straight from the screen for us budding artists 😏

Brother I did auto save on new account,after that i had 49 photos in the month of September which i deleted in my old account and then also i was able to see them in my new account photos section. After that i stopped partner sharing but those photos of September are not taking space in my new account. What to do?

@sangameshantappa8205 No, you probably just need to wait for it to calculate. The backup setting is only to make it back up new photos from your phone to Google photos. Because moving photos between accounts is all on the cloud, the backup setting doesn't impact it.

Sorry, to start with if your Chromebook is truly not turning on, connecting it to a TV probably won't help. If the Chromebook still works, but the screen is broken, you could possibly connect it to the TV, and use the TV as the screen. But if the actual Chromebook (aside from the screen) is not working, connecting another screen won't help, you'll need to either get the Chromebook fixed, or get a new Chromebook. Additionally, if you do want to try connecting it to your TV, I'm happy to help you choose what adapter and cable you need. But I need to know what Chromebook you have, and unfortunately Chromebook version 9 doesn't really mean anything to me. There are lots of different brands that make Chromebooks, and all of those brands make lots of different models of Chromebooks. It might be a "Lenovo Duet 5 Chromebook" or it might have an even more complicated name like "HP 14a-nf0007TU 14 Chromebook". The name might be written underneath it or something, or if you still have the box it came in or something, that would be great. But if you can't find the model of your Chromebook anywhere, it's probably easier to just look at the ports on the side of your Chromebook. If it has a large port that is wider on the top and narrower on the bottom, that's an HDMI port, so all you need is a basic HDMI cable. If your Chromebook does have that port, I'll be happy to recommend a cable. If you don't have any ports like that, and all the ports look more like the charging port on a smartphone, that will be USB-C, which means you will need an adapter for that. Once again, if you do need a USB-C adapter, let me know and I'll be happy to recommend one.

Thanks, I've found it. That Chromebook will need a USB-C to HDMI adapter. But, if the charging light isn't working either, I doubt plugging it into a TV will help. It sounds like something inside the Chromebook is broken. You could maybe take it to some kind of computer repair shop and see if they can fix it, or perhaps take it back to where you bought it from if it's fairly new. But other than that you would just need to buy a new one.

As I mentioned before, I like to trace images onto tracing paper from my tablet, galaxy tab A 10.1, but unless I draw the image again on the reverse side of the paper, it comes out the mirror image of the original. Snapseed stops this. I reverse the image with Snapseed, trace the image and when I turn the paper over it the right way round. All thanks to your tutorial. I found a way to stabilize the image on my tablet so it doesn't jump around when I touch the screen. Why don't you do a tutorial on that.

Sorry, I don't have any idea what that could be. You could try restarting your Chromebook, and restarting the Chromecast. But beyond that, there's not much I could suggest. I'm assuming you see Chromecast pictures on the TV before you start casting? If you never see anything from the Chromecast, it might just not be quite plugged in enough, so you could try unplugging it from the TV and plugging it back in. But if you see other things from your Chromecast, and it just turns black when you cast your Chromebook's screen, it will be more likely a Chromebook issue.

It might just be that the notification didn't appear for some reason, you could try opening the files app, and see if the flash drive shows up in the left hand menu. But if the flash drive doesn't show up there, that will mean the flash drive isn't connected properly. You could try unplugging it and plugging it back in, plugging it into a different port on your Chromebook (if possible), or if you are using an adapter to plug it in, there might be something wrong with the adapter, so you could try a different adapter. Or, you might just need to restart your Chromebook. Other than that, it could be a faulty flash drive, that just doesn't work for some reason, and in that case, there wouldn't be much you could do about it.

Have you made a video on the problem of one google account photo deletion, (example, from your phone) deleting the same photo(s) from the other google account??? I'm trying to save space on my phone, but when i delete photos from my original (main) google account, i lose them from all other google accounts where I had them backed up to. Is there a way to not lose the photo(s) in an alternate google account, even when you delete it from your main (or any) google account???

Not, really. In my recent video about how to disable backup on Google Photos: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/m8Vyn6l_mrCnl6M.html I cover some info about deleting photos from the phone but keeping them on Google Photos, so it could be worth watching even if you don't want to disable backup. But basically, if you use your phone's files app or gallery app to delete the photos, instead of using the Google Photos app to delete them, the photos should still remain on Google Photos.

My Chromebook did a update overnight while I had it charging and asleep I woke up to all my apps from the Google play store deleted as well as Google play store I can't even get the Google play store back on my Chromebook it's so strange I did see an error message on a screen about extended security if I hit it that it will take all Android capabilities away so I left that off but this is what occurred before I did a power wash and still nothing came back no apps all my other stuff did not my apps or Google play store and even in the google play web browser i can't even download it tells me give us a few minutes and your app will be downloaded but it never does how can i get this back to normal again??

I've never experienced anything like this, so I can't say for sure, but it kind of sounds like the Google Play functionality has been disabled. If you open the settings app, and click on "apps" in the side menu, is there a "turn on" button next to "manage Google Play preferences"? If there is, you just need to click that button to turn it back on, and then follow a few prompts to set it back up again. If the button isn't there, that means Google Play apps should be enabled already, so unfortunately there's nothing else I could suggest.

Actually, files that are shared with you don't take up any space in your Google Drive, only the file owner's Google Drive. But, if you still want to remove it from your account so that you no longer have to see it, you should be able to by following the tutorial, I can't think of any reason the trash would be greyed out.

I've got more than one google account logged in and opened shared file from Gmail, which opened a file on account X not Y where it was shared. Now I've got access to this file from account X, and it shows on Google drive as shared with me. What a mess! Can't always remember to use incognito mode to browse files, when sometimes I need to use specific account

Some people might prefer it like that. But I prefer to explain what's going on, so that people actually understand what they are doing rather than blindly tapping a series of buttons. That way, if something is slightly different on their phone, or if they have a different situation and they want to do it a bit differently, they will be able to figure it out.

This isn't something I've ever tried to do. But after looking through the text app, I can't find any option to make it utf 8, so if it's not automatically saving them as utf 8, I doubt it's possible at all, it's not a very advanced text app. What you could do, is use an online converter like this to convert the file to utf 8 after saving it: subtitletools.com/convert-text-files-to-utf8-online I've never actually used this tool, but it looks like it should work.

It could be the battery, especially if it's double a. Those batteries can go flat just by sitting in a device, even if it isn't turned on.
