This match is very typical of European football back in the 60s 70s 80s...not only did British clubs have to beat the team in front of them..they had to beat a biased referee.... History demonstrates this....

Here the always dirty Terry Yorath ends the career of Bjorn Andersson and Frank Gray adds interest by doing the same to Uli Hoeness. Their supporters then go on the rampage. Poetic justice that they got what they deserved - absolutely nothing.

Dirty Leeds should have had two penalties but Lorimer's goal was correctly disallowed for off side as Bremner was clearly interfering in line with Maier's vision. They also put Bjorn Andersson out of the game for 8 months and Uli Hoeness for ever with 2 terrible tackles. Overrated and cynical - nobody outside of Yorkshire was crying or ever missed them.
