Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Grease, Christine, and The Fast And The Furious all seem to have the same story.......... Bringing old junk cars back to life.

Chitty would always be grateful to Mr. Caractacus Posh for restoring her and giving her new life. She would from this moment on serve the Mr. Posh and his family as her family.

If you listen you can here the music for the song you two when chitty comes out and its almost like chitty is saying thank you to the kids . Also the fact this is purely a act of love from a father to his kids is lovely.

When I was little and watch this on TV, the music from the Maaco commercial played in my head at the part where he was welding the car 1:55 because it reminded me of the same image in that commercial. "Uh oh, better get Maaco!" Funny how that's stayed in my head all these years.

She's quite a beauty. In today's world they wouldn't be allowed to go on that picnic until after it was insured, licensed, and inspected. 😅

This film was made 56yrs ago. Dick Van Dyke. I watched this film many times with video cassette player in the mid 1980s as a kid of 9-10yrs. My dad liked the movie and sometimes we watch it with him. I still remember the video cassette and our AKAI Video Cassette Player. I'm feeling nostalgic now.

A car with lots of hidden features, in a tale written by two authors who worked for the SOE in WW2 and one of whom created James Bond! It all makes sense now!

When I saw that car rolled out for the first time it was the most magical thing I had ever seen. For a little boy watching this in the early 70s it was the most inspiring moment imaginable. My heart still skips a beat even today.

I get quite emotional when I watch this scene in the movie, because I have very dear memories of my mother taking me to see the movie, the very week it was released back in 1968 It was showing in the long closed down cinema The Plaza off western avenue in Cardiff I'm now nearly 62 and my dear mother is approaching her 92 no birthday So many years ago, but it will live long in memory Thank you mum, for everything, your so dear to me, you cannot know

The children’s mother didn’t die. She left. If you watch the car being brought to the barn, you’ll see the windmill which is the spinning zodiac, the squares of the windmill which are semantic spaces, the base of which is the Chinese Hexagram. The black pointed roof is “Sin” going up. And books in the barn are knowledge to make it all happen: A flying talking machine that runs the world.
