I had my AC on 64 degrees on fan speed 5 and drove for an hour it used 1% of the battery. Big deal.

It was 98 degrees a couple days ago here in California and my wH/mi was at 450 on my Model 3. It used 5 kWh for only 11 miles, the A/C was working hard to keep the temperature at 70 degrees.

My ordered Model Y has had its delivery date repeatedly delayed. So, I went to the Tesla dealership in person, and they informed me that the car had already arrived. When I asked to pick it up immediately, they scheduled the pickup for next Wednesday.

You're not likely to be using "60 air" which is driving 60 miles per hour with the windows down (and sunroof open) to get ventilation. You're going to be using the air conditioning full blast. So of course the driving range will be lower on a very hot day. Now, if the study was examining the total, sitting in the driveway, just charged to full battery, driving range and found that it was permanently degraded compated to cars that spent their lifetime in temperate or cold climates,...THEN it would be something to be concerned about.

Juniper is at least 6-8 months out, maybe 1 year before it will be available in US markets. It will hit the China market first and no doubt the performance will be the last to be released. I would get the Model Y with .99 percent interest rate and $7500 Fed Tax credit if you qualify or with inventory discounts. Don't pass on the great deals at the end of the quarter. I agree with Dennis, you could always trade in your and then get the fed tax credit again on the Juniper next year-- hopefully, they use a battery that qualifies.

I own a 2023 id4 and the f150 lightning. Living in texas. The vehicles lose range, but it's nothing too bad. It's almost like when you use your gas car and have your ac all day. In winter you can really see a difference. Summer time is not bad. These people making these reports go to the extremes. Just to get viewers or talk sh#$÷ about evs.

Probably in China first. US is next year.
