I had a 1981 Escort 1.3 Ghia many years ago. It was on 190k miles and its 3rd engine. Dont remember it doing a 10 sec 1/4 mile though for some reason.

Brilliant, if they perform like this on Saturday night, it will be well worth the travelling and the late night.

Great footage, thanks. Sadly it's a millionaire backed driver with an unlimited budget that has won the WF of a working man's sport. Amazing to listening to the majority of the crowd wanting Fairhurst to get past Harris, goes to show how unpopular the arrogant twat Harris is. Given that Harris had a brand new 40 grand engine just for the final shows that he is not healthy for the sport. Got to laugh though when he crossed the finishing line to win it and nobody cheered.

No way is this a stock Evoque. I have a 290bhp Si4 Dynamic Plus. It's quick. But, there's no way I'm beating a 600bhp Evo off the line
@zaidobaid36913 жыл бұрын
It's stock, petrol evouqe I have you. The acceleration is amazing because of the turbo. But turbo lag hits hard later on

@@zaidobaid3691 - My Evoque couldn't beat a 600bhp Evo. I got beaten by a Golf R the other day and those are only 320bhp
@zaidobaid36913 жыл бұрын
@@PhannyObsession the evouqe in the video didn't beat the evo tho. The golf is turbo charged and very light in weight. It's not only about horse power
@PhannyObsession3 жыл бұрын
@@zaidobaid3691 - I know it's not all about bhp. In the same way that having a 3L engine doesn't necessarily mean you'll beat a 2L car just because it's a bigger engine. But, a smaller/lighter car with 600bhp will always beat a big/heavy 300bhp car regardless. But, I didn't realise the Evo had won, it was such a shaky video. So, I can sleep easy again! ;-)

nooki1102 I have spent many many years going bush and sometimes Involved in 24 hour recoveries and going through some messed up places.... Yes I’m a patrol man. But I have never broken anything on my drivetrain. Or any major mechanical part after being in some horrible situations. Every single trip with a Landcruiser we would see a cv break or even diff centres. Toyota make a reliable car, but their drive line is weak as piss. I’ve watched cruisers break cvs with steering pressure alone. I don’t understand why everyone is such a fan of them. It’s just such a dam shame Nissan didn’t put a decent motor in the patrols after the TD42.
