Hey Steven, great video. I noticed that you switched over to penn reels instead of the usual Daiwa ones you use. Can I ask why? As I am looking to make a purchase soon and was curious what I should go for.
@BamaSaltwater58 минут бұрын
I like to buy, sell and trade tackle! I enjoy all brands, Shimano and Daiwa are smooth and durable but Penn is built like a tank and has the line capacity I enjoy ! It's just all personal preference ! You cant go wrong with either brand buttt Penn is the Easiest to self service !! Not requiring a bunch of fine parts or tolerances.

Man, all your fishing videos, tips and tricks are next level. The best! Quick question Cap, what is your decking material, and do you like and would use it again? Thanks for any tips on that. Looking to add that to my Whaler over the diamond tread.
@BamaSaltwater3 сағат бұрын
Thank you!! And it's called SafeFloor! I thoroughly enjoy it and glad I got it put on. I wanted something durable that actually lasts with real fishing and it has held up great over the past year and a half. Easy to clean as well. It's not as soft as the other foam decking materials and is permanent but most of the charter guys run it and I do to because it really holds up well. Not slippery either !
@Beerbatter19622 сағат бұрын
@BamaSaltwater Right on. Thanks for the great reply Cap. I will check it out. Durability and easy clean over comfort for me too. I'm used to the hard Diamond tread, so anything will be better. Thanks again.

I follow a lot of fishermen. Mostly freshwater guys. I had the pleasure of catching my first saltwater charter on a family vacation this year out of Sarasota over at Harts landing from an awesome captain. Now I can’t get saltwater fishing out of my system and I can’t wait to go again. This guy is a good dude, enjoys life and enjoys his hobby. I have learned a ton from this humble man that gives it right back to god every time he does a video. I hope you stay safe in the water and keep putting out good content for as long as you can. My family loves watching your videos and maybe one day I’ll get the chance to come to Alabama and do some fishing. My goal is a yearly salt water trip.

If it's an inshore rod, go with a 3000 or 4000 size spinning reel

I wish I was more adept at differentiating shark species. I catch them all the time but dont want to bring in a protected species. To me, when I google them, they resemble four or five species and two are protected.

The AJ sauce you could put in a sauce pan on the stove after taking out of oven to reduce even more maybe add a tad of cornstarch then drizzle that thicker sauce over the filets, but man that all looked really good!!! I'm going to try that sauce! That snapper looked amazing!

Those waves you were taking on we took on in a ranger bass boat one time. Alcohol may or may not have been involved in those decisions. We survived but we was sore from that ride but man did we have fun. I didn’t leave the house in north Alabama expecting to be in a boat period but that’s how it goes sometimes I reckon. We did catch some fish

I do a recipe pretty similar to the one you did for the snapper. The only difference is that I use a little white wine to deglaze the pan and flambé (if it will light) and it really fortifies the flavor. Awesome video! As a fellow mosquito fleet man, I appreciate people pushing the boundaries of a bay boat in blue water!

I made the mistake of buying a Whirlpool "assembled" in America. When it broke, it 2 months to get the part from China. I bought a Frigidaire, made in America, and it's been 2 years without a problem.
