Bob Evans was such a larger than life icon. I remember seeing the documentary The Kid Stays In The Picture and aside from being mesmerised I was a bit sceptical that this walking stereotype of a flash Hollywood studio mogul was actually real. Great performance in the Offer, the voice, the slick charm, the style, loved it.

Mario Puzo was a genius. Check out his novels and short stories. He had a VERY strong voice. Puzo did not go to college. His writing was natural, flowing out of his brain untrammeled.

It had a meta quality. There is a part where they say that it should have more action. Then it turns into an action film. There was an Australian short film that did something similar. Forget the name. The actress is a film student working on a script. She makes genre changes a few times and her life follows the genre. It's actually a medley of all the genres Nick has done.
