Yeah that's what I would do. Kinda looks more like a household ladder. But I like the compact and lightweight aspect and I can keep it in the van pretty much anywhere

Condenser should be set with 18 inch clearance. When you use stay brite cooling it down with wet towels can form cracks

Depends on what unit you’re installing correct? And is that for all four sides or just one? Is that the same as well with an inverted side discharge? What if you don’t have 18” what do you do then?

You don’t use soft solder on a ref system 410a and get up to 500 psi. You have to braze copper and purge with nitrogen.

@Fadda-PАй бұрын
This was exactly what I was thinking... And I have never seen someone use MAP gas and solder. I have only brazed refrigeration lines in my 25 years in the trade. I had to rewind the video and make sure I was seeing correctly.
@Matts_CraftyАй бұрын
@@Fadda-Pyou need stay clean flux and stay brite #8 solder. Clean tight joints it’s not forgiving like solder you only need half the width of the pipe in relation to the amount applied. If you feel uneasy next to a metering device then disconnect it. I used to much heat in this video because he was learning. You should use some type of heat barrier. But im good enough now to install equipment without using it.still good practice to always use heat barrier. Practice with it. You can buy it at supply house.com need more info LMK

Stay brite #8
@Matts_CraftyАй бұрын
Is Stay Brite 8 stronger than brazing? Joints soldered with Stay Brite 8 solders exhibit considerably higher than necessary elongation for sound, dissimilar metal joints and vibration applications. Stay Brite produces an overall component with greater strength than a brazed component whose base metals are weakened by annealment from high brazing heat.

@Matts_CraftyАй бұрын
@@Fadda-PDo your research this isn’t teaching how to just it only entertainment and practice, There are cautions and certain procedures you must take heed to! It’s not a short cut! But once mastered it will save time nitrogen and lugging torches . You use to much it will pull inside of the pipe and can get into the system and metering devices. Watch some other KZfaq videos on it any questions let me know 👍🏽

@Matts_Crafty2 ай бұрын
Link is in the description. Verify your motor mount fits! If it does not fit the mount you can just drill the holes you need. I had extra bolts lying around in my shop. Worse case scenario you take a trip to Home Depot or Lowe’s and grab the bolts you need. Any issues feel free to reach out!

Hey Matt, Another question. Do you think the rail upright is strong enough to handle the force of the motor. I plan on only getting a 50lb thrust (12 volt) motor. I have not been able to un-tarp my Switch because it won't stop raining on the weekends...Grrrr. I am thinking it will be fine but wanted your opinion and if you have used it since it was installed?

@@Matts_Crafty So these Switches are becoming very popular and I know everyone want to use it for fishing...I don't have a channel but you would get some views if you did a series on installing your batteries, why you selected the trolling motor you did and is it enough thrust, etc.... Greatly appreciate your videos and responses. Thanks Last question....(I hope) How long of a shaft is on your trolling motor and what thrust...
@Matts_Crafty3 ай бұрын
54” is the length. I’m heading out of town but I will try to remember to do a walk through on my battery. I only use my trolling motor in lakes but I fish mostly in open bay and ocean so I drift mostly.
