ok so this is going to tell you how NEW to this I am but... I finished installing unreal engine 5.... looks like I'm in 5.4 now. I opened a first project... and there's no chairs or table :). What am I missing? Somebody stole my chairs and tables!

I wish the node and graph things could be aided by an AI inside the engine. Tell the AI what you want and it will create the node graph for you. I absolutely hate having to combine 50 different nodes to get some basic result. Let AI handle it for me.

Just as constructive feedback: that explanation of motion matching had no chance of making someone understand it who didn't already know the technique.

Maybe I'm lucky since I'm a programmer already, which makes me pause your video a lot of the time to actually think what a "use case" would be for the topics you're discussing. But for the average new learners, you should talk about use cases in the subjects of your video. This helps people understand what something is for, and it will help people understand WHY we're creating something. Apart from that, great tutorial.

If everything is a game changer, nothing is. It's so tiresome to see people fawning over the flavor of the month new engine feature or piece of tech, when the space is just being continually saturated with asset flips and unoptimised messes. I want good games not clickbait and tech demos. Much more interesting to see how a simple game innovates inside restrictions.

This was changed in v5.3. Try this: ---> Content Drawer (lower left corner) ---> Maps folder ---> double click on the Minimal_Default map (with the mountain icon on it).

Yeah unreal engine is sooo great that I automatically don't want to play a new game that uses it cause I know it will run like absolute ass while looking maybe 5% more impressive than games that run great.

Unreal really does keep getting better and better. Excited to see what's to come in the future. These are all game changing in their own way. Makes you wonder what technologies and utilities that engines we don't have access too have at their disposal. Most interesting being Rockstar's RAGE engine without a doubt

I don't get the point exactly with the texture graph. Isn't it simpler and better to keep using textures like imported images instead of creating them with lots of complex graphs?
@mariarzyt_3DКүн бұрын
The huge advantage of using graphs like those is that you can adjust the settings anytime you want in realtime, just by editing sliders, it gives you lots of freedom

For anyone following along in 5.4 that can't find the Bloom/Exposure settings under Global Process Volume at 32:20: The Global Process Volume doesn't appear to be in 5.4, instead it is PostProcess Volume. To get the Exposure settings menu press the +Add button at the top when you select PostProcessVolume, and then select "Post Process" which is under Rendering. That seems to be the same menu that he's using in the tutorial.
