The people at "Bandwidth" recorded Foy so well! "Guiding Light" is a quality short film! I watch it sometimes. I have a great playlist of Foy's music, it's called "Foy Vance Golden Playlist". Foy is a modern day musical genius imho. Side Note: It's different seeing Foy without the Mustache.

Currently fighting addiction. Where I thought what I was doing would be ok and that I could handle it has spiralled. My friends, family and those truly dear to me do not know. Any time I feel like I’ll crumble and give in I think or listen to this song. I’m reminded of those same loved ones which gives me strength and a guiding light in the dark. Thank you, Vance. And to anyone in the same position right now. Take a day at a time and do not judge yourself. Remember the little things. Remember your accomplishments. Remember your pride. Any small win is a win and we will beat it.

I first heard this coming back from church in my Mom’s car. It’s been one of my favorite songs since. It has opened a brighter perspective for me when I listen to the lyrics and just think about Jesus. He is that guiding light to all who put their faith and trust in Him. I’ve been going through tough times lately, (mostly because of my poor decisions). But the one thing I know and continue to believe is that no matter how difficult the road may seem, He is always there to guide me back on that path that He had made for me long ago. He has been faithful through every trial I go through. To the person who’s reading this: Maybe you’re going through a similar situation; whether it be another pain, another burden, another trial. Maybe you’re battling an addiction that is wearing you down. Maybe you’re just feeling lost or lonely, “tired of the wonder,” questioning your purpose in life. I just want to let you know that God loves you so much and He desires to have a relationship with you. However, He will not force you into that relationship with Him (that wouldn’t be loving you, would it?). It’s up to you to make that decision. But I want you to know that you will never find a greater purpose than through a loving relationship with the Creator of all things. Come as you are, repent (turn away from) your sins; your burdens of guilt and shame, and accept His Son, Jesus, by faith. He can be your guiding light; that no matter how difficult your road may get, no matter how challenging your life may be, you can still be able to say that you have not yet lost your will and that you will keep on moving till you find your way home! I know this all may sound a bit crazy (it did for me before), but I pray that you make the right decision. For the ones that don't like him I'm pretty sure it's based on this song. I don't know if this is some event that took place but based what I know about Foys music ...he isn't singing here. He seems to be crying. He could have done this song way better but this is him crying.
