These Ladies get it! the food is killing us and keeping us down. If all you ate was buffalo so many health problems would go away. Strength would return, your thinking would clear up. you could fight the addiction problems from a place of strength!

Beautiful! Paula Circles Bear of Rapid City hand made my moccasins of buffalo skin and skillfully beaded them back in 1998.

Wow girl, I never thought about the Buffalo that way. I've found many Buffalo teeth in southern Illinois, they aren't supposed to be here. But they were.

Nah, it's pretty tasty, but in principal you're right. For the most part, natives ate dreadful food. Out in the northwest, they keep campaigning for the right to hunt whales, although the last time they caught one, they found the meat disgusting and sent all of it to the tribal landfill. Even their dogs wouldn't eat it! Guess pizza's better......

When I was about 10 yrs old I went to the closest thing to a Pow Wow, North Hollywood Ca ever had. We ate Buffalo meat, delicious. I won the raffle and got a big turquoise necklace, which I gave to my mother. I was always envious of anyone who was native American and often dreamt that I was. Later when DNA tests became available I discovered the truth and that I am 15% native, through my father's side in New Mexico. My ancestry is located for centuries around Taos Pueblo. Peace to you and best of success in restoring the Buffalo

Have seen the picture of the buffalo skulls many times. Every time, including this time, it brings a tear to my eye. It’s beyond disgusting what the white man did on this continent 100s of years ago to the Native Americans. And still doing today. Particularly, the Republican Party, full of racist bigoted scum who want a white, christofascist country. It’s truly appalling!!

I believe you will survive relying on your own instincts. The moment you become infected by the world around you, it’s over. Trust no person, political party, ideology, other than your own. Stand firm and watch the world around you….eat itself alive.

We are thought in school always to read our SLIDESHOW SLOWLY to ensure that the viewers actually have time to read the text.... Even it's crystal clear for the person who makes the media - for the viewers it might not be the case 😏 But yeah, safe buffalows! ❤

That is a very nice video. I know the buffalo are important because they don't have all the antibiotics and growth hormones but I never realized that the meat is medicinal because they eat medicinal herbs for food. The first peoples had a wonderful eco-friendly sustainable way of life.

The first woman in this presentation spoke of what they made from the bones and skin of the bison. Does anyone still practice making these such useful tools, toys and dwellings to continue the craft for future generations and for tourists ( if you will ) to explain why the Lakota and other tribes harvested bison. Showing it was not only food but essential materials for daily use. The Eskimo maintains the right to hunt whales, does the Lakota maintain the right to hunt bison?

I’m full-blooded crowfoot, and if you feel so badly for it, I would love if you would wire me some of that money you’ve earned off of the backs of our people. Or just stop with the one unbearable, meaningless sentiments. Societies of all types have done all sorts of evil things, even mine. None of them have any real regrets.
