In 1976, I had a 25 BLACKFIN CC with cabin and full tower made when the company was in Port Everglades. We fished it in the Gulfstream and shipped it to St Thomas for a summer. We would take it to the BATHES on Virgin Gorda, anchor up and go swimming under the granite boulders. It was an awesome boat but this new one is at another level.

What is the top speed of this boat with the 200s?

Looking at about 48 top speed with the 200’s, depending on load. We’ve been bringing new ones in with twin 300’s, tops out about 60-61 with those. Are you shopping for one, or just checking them out? We have two coming in soon.

It makes all the different having him show the boat this way. When someone just hold a phone and pointing stuff out the video sucks. With this video he has done a fantastic job and hopefully he keeps up with it.

A friend of mine had a Fountain it was very nice boat but it seemed more like a speed boat then a fission. Not sure how much as changed on the newer one

Alex, thanks for the comment. The recent Fountains are still built with the same race bred hull that is legendary. If you are looking for fishing amenities as well, they are plentiful if desired. Are you currently looking for a boat, or have one?

I really like the boat but the walkway looks very tight between the consul. Would like to see someone starting there. It a real problem on my current boat. I’m trying to get something more open with out going into 30feet boat, it gets to expensive.

Richard , is that the 218cc you have at 8’6” wide? Does yours have the t-top? You’ll also find that the framing for the t-top on the Blackfin 212 is more integrated, less obstructive, and doesn’t take up those couple of inches of floor space on each side, like so many others do. Leaves you more use of your beam on the boat. I’ll get you a couple better perspectives of the walk ways, so you can judge for yourself.

Great boats! Premium quality throughout, not only the visible things like hardware, upholstery, gel coat, it’s the internal materials that you can’t see in the construction of the boats. Very solid, all that translates to a better, more comfortable, safer ride on the water. If I had to compare, they are right up there with the likes of whaler, Grady white, intrepid, Everglades , and such. This boat is available, are you interested?

You should have a cameraman it would help show the size of the boat. It’s hard for to get a good idea of the space. I also think you would be able to show the features better if you were in the camera.

Yes it is, performs well. We put the Merc 8.2 MAG bravo 3 drive. The next step is a few feet larger with twins. For the boater that wants to trailer and keep a budget it is perfect. Popular model for us!
