it's really interesting to me that the snowgrave-specific tracks aren't in the official soundtrack, while undertale's genocide-exclusive tracks are. it really suits both routes' individual vibes- while genocide is a secret route, with conditions that are a bit more off the beaten path than neutral or pacifist, it's not hard to figure out it exists, and the game wouldn't be complete without it. meanwhile snowgrave feels more like a creepypasta made reality than a normal hidden route. you could go through the whole game without ever even thinking "what if i did this," because how would you even know you could?

It's really impressive how this song manages to sound so mournful yet so hopeful. The main melody has a very sombre feel to it, but at the same time something about it really drives you onwards. The drums at 1:01 in particular create a very determined feeling.
