Another great video. You get amazing service onboard the Rex Saab 340 considering the flights are so short. Some of the rural airports are extremely impressive buildings too. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

I’ll be flying the same aircraft from NRT to HNL but I’m hesitant about the configuration. Should I cancel it?

Where do I start. The device holder does not come down like a tray. It was functioning perfectly. It only tilts for when the seat in front reclines. If you sat with your bum firmly into the back of your seat (as designed) you would find ample knee space. Unless you’re over 6ft 5

Fascinating video! Really enjoyed this one, it was great to gain an insight into these lifeline services in Australia. Very nostalgic for me to see the Saab 340 as it was a lifeline for my home carrier Loganair until earlier this year.

dude great video, i flew on the same plane a few weeks ago from NYC to auckland then got on a 737 to melb and damn what a downgrade it was!!!

Just flew on this plane and landed 5am yesterday on EBL from Singapore.

That plane looked dirty... I don't ask for much, but a clean aircraft is one thing I do expect when flying. Haven't flown QANTAS for years... the destinations I go to aren't covered by them. Hopefully things can improve, but the last 20 years has been turbulent for that airline and I don't feel I should reward a company that so openly screwed its employees.

Great video!! the a330 is certainly going to be the best way to cross the country when QF 9 no longer starts in melbourne. It certainly was a missed opportunity for qantas to not refurb the 330 200's when they refurbed some of 330 300's, which in my oppinion are on par with the 787 seats, if not better due to the 2-4-2 layout. Whilst i do love to fly the a330, it sure will be nice when we start to see the new 787-9 and -10s flying east west!

Not too bad but the 787 is much more comfortable and modern. The hot meal is appreciated but could have been presented better in my opinion.

The amount in terms of price is ridiculous. Catering is excellent with lots of perks. I do think it’s worth it.

Nasty surprise. 😮 I don’t see why 😂. You got safely, got a decent meal on a regional plane. No; regional planes don’t have free seats next to our as it’s just a 2X2 configuration. At least in Europe. What kind of amenities do you expect on a short hop?. I don’t know what’s wrong with check in. You have dedicated counters in business, and could bring your own boarding card in your phone.

Totally different side of the world here, but flying BA is slightly worse the seats arent as good (just a usual 3-3 with middle seat blocked). I’d only fly business domestically😢 on qantas or ba for status points. Also hold your mic further away, sounds like youre holding it too close to your mouth

A very disappointing experience in my opinion. The ground experience in Brisbane was definitely good but the cabin really needs an overhaul and a good clean. The meal looked very dry and unappetising too.

Why does turbulence always occur in meal service :) Food on this flight seemed to be slightly better than their average catering service. However, I admit that I really like their hard product. Liked and subscribed

You definitely lucked out in my opinion... United Polaris is lightyears ahead of Qantas Business in terms of comfort and service. I can't believe you missed the ice cream sundae trolley! Shame about the turbulence and the interrupted service, but kudos to the cockpit crew for putting the safety of the passengers and the cabin crew first.

Great trip report. The Embraer 190 is a really comfortable aircraft to fly on. I hope REX do introduce better onboard service so they can compete with Qantas on this route. It would also be great to see the Embraer 190 painted in the REX livery as the National Jet Services livery is quite uninspiring.

Ruined by loud and unecessary noise

Great thing about BA is their crews. They are friendly and delightful most of the time. However, I find BA catering on long haul needs improvement. The portion and presentation is not something I would call business class. Their bedding is too thin compared to many other top tier airlines. Overall, BA is still a decent airline to fly with, but nothing special and nothing to look forward to really.

A350 is my favourite plane, however BA are my least favourite airline, and coming from a Brit that should never be said but they've gone downhill so much over the last 10-15 years that I only use them now if I have very little other option. For me, Finnair are the best European airline.

Looked a fantastic flight probably helped by a relatively new aircraft, some of BAs long haul fleet are pretty ancient, but even if that is the case the food and cabin service should be of a similar standard. BA certainly seem to be trying to improve their service standards. Agree with you comment on having to walk back from the B gate lounge you are correct

Waist of money

I used to love BA and was Gold for a number of years. Sadly, regardless of the aircraft and layout it seems to have gone south in recent years.

Great video. The Admirals lounge looked good in Phoenix and the economy service onboard this flight was ideal for a short hop like this. I know Americans seem to hate the CRJ700, but I actually really like flying on them.

We used to fly BA Club World for many years :London to Cape Town v.v. But after the Brexit the prices are so incredibly high so we.had to chose for another airline.

This video wakes my memory of taking J-Air (Japan Airlines subsidiary) E190 between Osaka and Sendai. Also same great scenary of snow mountains, etc. Keep going and cheers!

That's quite disappointing, this was one of the aircraft that weren't retrofitted back in 2019 as they were supposed to be retired soon. But of course COVID came, so they had to hold out on them- interesting. Perhaps they'll skip the 2019 upgrade and retrofit the cabin completely with the new config this year. I'm guessing BA kept the cabin from BMI.

Gosh, that's really disappointing indeed. The slow check-in experience, the lack of hot food in the lounge, the tired and worn cabin, dirty washroom on the first sector of the day and the cabin crew not offering you any rolls during the service. G-DBCB is an ex-bmi aircraft and really showing its age but it's worrying that a BA business class flight scores less than easyJet and Iberia Express in your ratings. One of the reasons why I prefer to avoid flying BA whenever possible.

Is Eco seating suitable for 6 plus Ft? Or maybe if not, boost up to Premium Eco??
