Brother I just quit today, mid route too. The first thing you mentioned about the temperature was one of my reasons. It's hot as hell like 90+, your sweating bullets looking for the mf packages, getting in and out of the van walking up to the houses over and over, while the suns beating down on you, your holding up traffic with your hazards, karens are getting mad at where you parked. Sometimes ya can't even find a good spot for the house so you gotta walk a bit. I was like f this im out. I will say I tip my hat to those who deal with it cause its NOT easy!

Facts. 1. 10:20-8:20....in the ghetto.. sometimes I don't get back home until 10pm and I'm gone from 9:30am-10pm 2. The 30min commute both ways to the job and home 3. The loose pitbulls trying to bite you (irresponsible dog owners / neighbors - making it impossible to deliver to the house) - I got bit once..(didn't break skin) 4. The ammount of expectations to work safely, yet rushed + cameras + ai tracking = stressful as fuck 5. Dealing with terrible drivers that speed, run red lights, don't stop for stop signs, parked in the middle of the 4 way intersecion to have a conversation with someone they know 6. The commute to the delivery area 30-50min drives... (hoping there ain't not major pileup) - usually don't get there until 12-12:20... 7. Customers that want extra steps 8. Apartments that are impossible to access & can't mark it unable to deliver due to the orange circle being out of reach. 9. Dispatchers expecting you to finish 160-200 stops within 8hrs... including driving back to the hub + gas + park + not getting your break 10. The wheather (still expected to finish the route in a timely manner ) 11. The non-existant benefits 12. Never getting 40hrs a week despite being full time 13. Possibility to lose a days of work due to customer feedback / low fico score 14. Having to drive unsafe vans... even if the brakes need to be replaced & backup camera's don't work, 15. no where to use the bathroom (I feel bad for my female coworkers) 16. Business routes / college campus's 17. The pay being under $20...

Glad this was recommended to me. Was a CO for 1 year and quit because of the mental toll. I could feel myself change and become more jaded and angry with every passing week. Don't make near as much money right now but hell I'm a whole lot happier with life.

I sat and watched the entire debate. In the beginning, he seemed super focused. People in the chat noticed that he was barely blinking. It was like he was wired up with some prescription to stay focused and alert. But as the debate went on, he slowly began to slow down (drugs wearing off?). by the end of the debate, he struggled to form coherent sentences. When the debate was over and they left the stage, Biden had to ber escorted by Jill while Trump just casually walked off to his exit. The most amazing thing was Biden thinking he could play golf better than Trump.

i'm assuming you got in before they made it mandatory to pay them back for training academy if you quit unless you put in 2yrs with them you will owe roughly 5.5k on training academy costs or do 2yrs and you owe them nothing) I haven't done academy yet but I did work about 6 days on compound so far did locker searches, like 3-4 counts per shift, coolers, yard, control room, security checks, staff pat downs, logs, chow hall, fence checks, honestly most of my coworkers are dope people aside from the 5% of people who got real issues. It's alpha,bravo,charlie out here too in florida on the dorms too. I personally hate culinary more than chow time tbh just cause if you manage the inmates who do cooking and it's hot asf in there like an oven. I'm seriously thinking about transitioning to a male prison after 2yrs tho just cause I don't wanna catch any false prea charges and have it impact my career in corrections moving forward

The Florida fans complaining that the offside was too close to call are hilarious. It was either offside or it wasn't. Doesn't matter if it's a ml or a Mike offside is offside. Saying it was too close to call is an oxymoron. Like saying something is nearly new or kind of unique. You can say they got the call wrong. But you can't say it was too close to call. And when they say they got it wrong. I ask whats your evidence for this. Because the officials have an entire video/replay team of professionals to back their claim it was offside. I’ve been doing corrections over 11 years now. I think a lot of the high turnover is because of the stress experienced with people being put into a stressful environment without being put through stress training. These young kids nowadays have never been yelled at their entire life or put through a ringer of stress like getting shot at. The academy easy so they can pass and hire new employees. This does a disservice to them when they get into the prison and they can’t handle it. Military combat vets make prisons look like a cakewalk. I served in the Marines for 5 years as a machine gunner with a deployment to Afghanistan in 2010. I feel we have to retool the academy to put these new hires through a hard military style academy setting with strict discipline, stress, physical conditioning, and teach them to become leaders. Even at the lowest rank, you are still a leader because you taking initiative to get things done is what earns your respect with the inmates. Even if it is over things that they hate like tucking shirts in, taking hats off inside, searching their cells for contraband.
