Yeah, the original RE games were not for me. When things changed in 5, I fell in love! Then 6 doubled down and I had an even better time. Then they did 7 and I lost all interest 😅

I'm happy to know you liked it! It's a great game! And so sad too! It's cheaper to buy a second hand Wii and a Wii copy of the game than the ps2 version (which is a downgrade graphically). I know some people hated the non Japanese games but I do liked them and it was a cool era, we would have something experimental as this, then a main game, then a portable game for that SH fix while we're out of the house... I can't wait for all these SH games that are coming!

I remember during the cutscene in the movie theater, while I was sitting alone in the dark of course, it felt like something reached in me and squeezed my stomach ever so slightly but very real feeling. But Shattered Memories, if you're truthful throughout the whole game, is such a great experience. I feel it's very slept on and if you give it an honest shot, it will reward you in kind. Also! The UFO ending is utterly hilarious and worth a watch too, even if you just wanna do your one and done run to get 'your' experience, at least look up the UFO ending after you're done!!

There was a Saturn version in development that got cancelled because the console died.

Taken as its own experience, I do honestly think Shattered Memories is a spectacular game with an interesting story and a wild take on the Silent Hill concept. I think it’s probably the best of the games outside the original 4 by Team Silent, and it did take some wild swings that didn’t pay off but like. It genuinely felt like it had ideas and inspiration the whole way through. It may not have been perfect but it was definitely doing something very right.

I don't want to brag, but when I read the script, the draft was actually written in 1998, so that was months after Resident Evil 2. Not 1997.

Hi all, watching this video makes me really emotional and always pushes my anxiety and hope that the work will be appreciated. I am the guy behind the idea and concept. And yes, I know, the biggest criticism is always the price of why "10 cans cost $200". I wish I would have recorded all the work behind it. Every item is from a different manufacturer, even individually crafted until it has the right quality. Even the cans. We had to produce a minimum of 250k not needing them all as it is a limited item. and yes, I underestimated so many factors in addition to fuck ups in the supply chain and how to assemble all individual items to one box 😂🤦🏻🫠 the next products will be hopefully smoother on delivery and we are working hard to bring more items to life. Appreciate all the supporters and haters the same time. You make us better and work harder 🥷🏻🙏🏻

2:30 I wonder if Castlevania: Lords of Shadow (another Konami published game) had a similar circumstance to Shattered Memories. Lords of Shadow felt more like God of War type game that was forced to have the Castlevania name attached to it. In another reality Shattered Memories and Lords of Shadows could have been both new franchises for Konami to milk.

I hate RE5. Actually, RE4 turned into something really unusual, than RE series had always been, but despite that RE4 was good as some kind of a special representation. RE5 and RE6 completely ruined what Resident Evil be.

Yes! One of my favorites games and yes there is nothing like it, love the atmosphere the soundtrack it is just beautiful I played it as a kid and I was terribly scared of it but it was so misterious and yet so scary (it was my first horror game) that I couldn't put it down until I finish, I wasn't expecting that ending at all.

Who’s your daddy now? Honestly it’s not that hard at all, just makes you play the game a bit more strategic. The absolute hardest part of the game is the Marguerite fight, it takes all my resources every time I do madhouse. 2nd hardest part is the Fat bloated molded fight in the barn, because you fight 2 of them instead of 1. Other than these, it’s very manageable in my opinion.

I have fond memories playing this game on the Wii when I was young, this game was actually my first Silent Hill game and there are a lot of things I didn't understood back then up until now. I'd be more than happy to play it again if there's a remastered version of it.

I recently finally got around to giving it a go and yeah, no regrets, I really enjoyed it! I liked this take on the original, it was different enough so that I did not know what to expect next. For the record, I played and completed it using PlayStation 2 emulator and did not encounter any of the issues you mention or demonstrated. I was even able to boost the resolution, and it all resulted in a very smooth and playable version. I had gone in with lower expectations due to things I heard from others, but again I really enjoyed my time with it.
