Looooooks delicious minus the meat. Trying to do the vegetarian thing. There is absolutely nothing that taste better than homegrown vegetables.

Try using tofu crumbles. There are a few marinades out there that you can use. That's a way to get some protein in the soup and keep it vegan/vegetarian.

My uncle Carl served in Italy in world war II, he was gone 37 months, the war had been over for a month, he hadn't come home yet, his family thought he was dead, one day somebody was heard singing and dancing on the front, praise God it was Uncle Carl, he had to ride a slow boat home, my hat's off to all veterans, all those that are still serving, all those that live, and all that have died, 🫡🫡🫡

The rust on the outside of the lid is not harmful to you even if there's a little on the inside scoop out the 1st half inch food and the rest is fine it's just got iron oxide in it it's not harmful to the human body.

Thank you for the information. Unfortunately the lids rusted on the inside of the jar. They were all spoiled. The smell was not fun.

Never leave your rings on after they've sat for 24 hrs. If the seals are still in tact, I would use those jars up as soon as possible. That's just my opinion, others may disagree. Either way, lesson learned, right?

Next time make sure you take off the rings the day after you can something. Leaving them on can cause false seals. Also, just because the lids/rings rusted on the outside, the seal inside may still be intact. Sure y already checked, just stating this for others that might read the comments.
