Yes, of course it does! Native Americans are still standing STRONG! Their culture and ceremonies continue ! There are Tribal Colleges on many Reservations I support the Oglala Lakota College on the Pune Ridge Reservation in Kyle, South Dakota. They teach their language and culture and train students in many different careers nursing, education , business etc.I strongly urge people to support the American Indian College Fund which helps young Native Americans go to colleges all across the USA ! Retired Teacher here !

My son just turned 7 and wants to dance, but we're not recognized federally because we don't have enough Blackfeet in us. Are there any pow wows we can still attend or anyone willing to give resources or connections so we can still honor our ancestors and learn about our roots? We feel our roots very deeply, but my family never talked (still won't)about our native roots, I feel like we're on a branch of the "tree of shame" for some reason, anyone? :) <3

I started dancing in the mid/late 90s and these guys were my favorite drum group. My tribe had a female drumming group, the Mankillers and we would get to talk to other drum groups and by far these guys were the best. Always kind and ready to laugh with us. ❤
