You don't know what you are talking about. Solar maximum is not the same as a "grand solar maximum" which is a series of very high solar cycles like we had in 1950's. Solar cycle 25 (this one) is likely to be about average. What you showed (00:38) was a filament eruption, not a flare. Yes, geomagnetic storms can damage power grids but such storms are rare. The last one, as you pointed out was in 1859. It was not associated with a grand solar maximum. The storm that blacked out part of Canada in 1989 was not associated with a grand solar maximum either. The largest storms tend to occur during the decline of a cycle not at the peak.

Grand Solar Minimum means deep cold; crop losses, starvation, freezing to death. Yes, as the earth cools and water temperatures decline, the tropical storms which feed on warm water, should become less frequent.

The GSM debunks the lefts claims of climate change. Trump is right for pulling us out of the bogas accord. Great report. Stick to the weather and not politics.

00:43: "NASA predicts that SC25 will be the lowest in 200 years" That is wrong, the official NASA/NOAA prediction for SC25 is that it will be similar to or slightly larger than SC24. See www.swpc.noaa.gov/news/solar-cycle-25-forecast-update The predictions on climate are not those of NASA but the pseudoscientific group the Electroverse.

Thank you so much dear. I live in Massachusetts, and we lose our electricity almost every time there's a big storm....most likely because there's a few trees down. My concern is "heat" because I have 3 tropical parrots. I live in a small home and have a generator, but it isn't that easy to start up and its LOUD....What do you suggest we can do for an additional source of heat, just in case? As of now, we only have the typical oil tank with radiator heat. In back of my house I have an opened sun porch, only screens...it's a very small ranch 800sq ft. Any suggestions would be most helpful. Thank you

@@theweatherguru1152 that would be fine but I was thinking more along the lines of not having resources to electricity at all....other options...we have ordinances with wood stoves in tight neighborhoods in this town, especially in that the chimney would need to be so high...I tried once to put in a fireplace in my previous home but it wasn't attainable. I saw a solar battery operated generator online to purchase....but it was very pricey, however, if it sustained over a week or so fine, but it would need to be recharged....it comes with just one solar panel.

Nasa never predicted a grand solar minimum. In fact its prediction panel (joint with NOAA) forecast that the next cycle (SC25) will be larger than SC24. The 11-year solar cycle has no measurable effect on Earth's weather. It does not get cooler during solar minimum and it does not get warmer during solar maximum. What drives the solar cycle is the differential rotation of the Sun (it rotates faster at the poles than the equator and faster deeper beneath the surface). It has nothing to do with planetary alignments . The alignment of the major planets occurs every 175 years (not 11). The magnetic poles of the Sun switch at solar maximum, not solar minimum. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_cycle#/media/File:Synoptic-solmag.jpg It does not affect the Earth's magnetic polarity as you claim (01:20) because that is generated internally in the Earth's core. Weather is not climate. A derecho is a line of intense, widespread, and fast-moving windstorms that moves across a great distance and is characterized by damaging winds. BTW: We have had fewer tornadoes than average so far this year. Solar activity is not associated with earthquakes or eruptions The heat, floods and droughts are all associated with AGW, not the Sun. The rate of warming is not 1C/ year but about 0,2C per decade. The seas at warming at half the rate of the land. A GSM would not affect tides. For someone calling themselves the Weather Guru, you dont seem to know much about the weather, the climate or the Sun.
@theweatherguru1152
@theweatherguru1152 3 жыл бұрын
The Earth is warming up regardless and yes I agree fewer tornadoes for this year but def more hurricanes(severe weather is more than tornadoes) The Madden-Julian oscillation will produce more in the tropics( thats climatological fact) We have had record breaking heat the past ten years for many parts of the country. Weather is a part of the climatic picture. Thanks for your support.
@drkstrong
@drkstrong 3 жыл бұрын
@@theweatherguru1152 The number of hurricanes is highly variable and SST is only one of many factors that helps them form. The MJO is short term (a month or so) so has little effect over the long-term and the effect on local weather will depend what phase it is in . That's the nature of oscillations.
