How in the heck did you cut out some of those intricate plants without chopping off any leaves? You have amazing hand/eye coordination! 🌺

I love watching you paint! I only have watercolours so I just ordered some black acrylic paint on Amazon. I also like the look of your collages as I find that some artists make theirs too busy for my taste. 🌺

Where did you find the awesome pallette❓. It’s so nice with all that room. I enjoyed watching this & loved to see another way to make roses (the spiral).

Merci d'avance.

The link doesn't have 24 pan of W & Newton paint. Also, which Pro Arte sable brush did you use. There are different types.
@LouDavis12 күн бұрын
Strange, both links to the paints and brushes work for me. Maybe it's a regional thing - it might not show them if they're not available for shipping to your part of the world? I don't really use those brushes much now, they were the student quality ones and very soft and hard to control, still good brushes but now I much prefer a slightly firmer synthetic brush - like the princeton neptune series.
@PntrGrl13 күн бұрын
Fun! What kind of pen and sizes are you using?
@LouDavis12 күн бұрын
uni-pin fine liners for the black, and (probably) a posca marker for the white - I don't remember what sizes.

Love this! I'm teaching myself watercolor in preparation to teach others. I needed simple ideas because I have a tendency to try for realism. So frustrating when learning a skill, to want to do more than you are capable of. These exercises are great for training the hand and the eye. I also love the look of using latex to cover your white, but you aren't. That last one will definitely make it to my curriculum.
@LouDavis12 күн бұрын
Glad you like them, I've got lots more ideas on the channel you might find helpful too - people tell me simple exercises are the most useful when getting started with watercolour so I try and think up lots of variations!
