Beating both sisters at the same tournament was never an easy task. So many had tried but only a handful could do that. 1998: Sydney International-Arantxa Sanchez Vicario 1999: Sydney International-Steffi Graf 2001: Australian Open-Martina Hingis (Serena in the QF and Venus in the SF) 2002: WTA Finals: Kim Clijsters (Venus in the SF and Serena in the F) 2004: JP Morgan Chase Open, Los Angeles-Lindsay Davenport 2007: US Open-Justin Henin (Serena in the QF and Venus in the SF) 2009: US Open-Kim Clijsters (Venus in the 4th round and Serena in the SF) 2010: Italian Open-Jelena Jankovic Kim Clijsters is the only player who beat both sisters in the same tournament twice. Elsewhere, as this video says, there were so many chances to beat both of them, in most cases, Venus was beaten but mighty Serena was unstoppable

Serena doing what other players say she does... Hitting the ball all over the place😀. When she and V first started playing, they asked other players, who would they prefer playing. (Although V was doing most of the winning at that point), the other players said they prefer playing V. They said, the rhythm of Serena's game was too unpredictable because she hits the ball all over the place. BTW, that is one of the very things M Hingis cited, she said Serena would never be a great player. Why, because she was too big, slow, and was hitting the ball all over the place 🤦😏

Queen of clay until today : Iga Świątek oficially surpassed her % of finals reached on clay according to tournament appearances, and with 3 RG titles at the age of 22 she's clearly better. Still, Serena is great on clay and superior everywhere else <3

Get back to me when Swiatek wins 5 clay tourneys in the same year while staying undefeated on the surface in the same calendar year. I feel that Iga would probably be her biggest challenge, because she's the most consistent of the top 20 players. Also, like I said before in previous comments on other videos, Igs's game is like mixture of Hingis' anticipation and court awareness along with Justine Henin's movement of the ball around the court, but with more heavy power.
