Привет, обычно не раньше конца мая - последняя неделя, но это при хорошем раскладе. Если май будет ветреный то может и до середины июня затянуться.

I was thinking of a trip to Makarska now in May, but sadly it seems to be a bit too early and out of season judging from this video and other sources, or do I have the wrong impression ?

+John Doe Hi John, it depends on your goals of this trip - if you want come to Makarska for swimming and sunbathing, then I'm afraid that yes, it's a bit early. But if you like hiking, clear air and you don't like very active sun and a lot of people - then I think that May it's perfect time to visit Croatia! +Jugo Slav Thanks for the prompt reply! Weatherwise it would be just perfect for me as I don't like it when its "too" hot. But I was thinking in terms of people and nightlife. I'm traveling alone and I don't want to be the only tourist around so to speak ;) Hiking would be nice though as I am a hobbyist photographer :-)
