I think the reason why Erin doesn’t like Jane the virgin is because she doesn’t understand that’s it’s literally in the style of a novela!!! It’s not a biopic, its supposed to be dramatic, silly, exaggerated etc. that’s why its such a great show because it’s a modern novela. I feel like most of the time with these vegetarian questions, it's this intense desire to be seen for their food preferences while disregarding other people's preferences. A lot of vegetarian options are not open to me, for example, because I'm essentially allergic to soy, and a lot of fake meats and tofu have soy. A lot of stuff has soy. Allergy is the best way to describe it, but think of it like those medicines where you can't have grapefruit. Soy renders my medication useless, and it's medication I need to live. I don't like to eat meat, so I tried to go vegetarian for a week. I got a bunch of fake meat and protein and went all in. There were times I just would have pasta or salads. I have a friend who doesn't eat much meat, she used to be a vegetarian, but was struggling with her health from not having protein from meat. She'll try to have meatless meals more often than not still, so I was fine when I went to her place and all we ate was a meatless dish. It was delicious. But I got really sick from not eating meat. Confusion, brain fog, intense migraines, cognitive issues. After doing some research I found out with my condition, protein from meat is essential for my diet. Going without meat (poultry, I stay away from red meat) will actually harm my body and make my symptoms worse. I'd go to an all vegetarian food wedding no problem, but I'd eat something with meat ahead of time so I wouldn't get the brain fog, migraine, and confusion that happens if I don't have adequate protein from meat in each meal. I hate it. So much. But for some people it isn't a preference, it's what our body needs. I think for most people it's a preference, and I see it as a, if you're having a wedding you have to offer vegetarian options so as not to exclude people. But deciding your way is the only way and other people shouldn't eat meat is excluding them. One commenter mentioned vegetarian meals to save money, which I think is a really good point. I'd be more understanding if that was a reason behind no meat, and again would just take care of my own needs since my needs are my problem.

I think maybe the intolerance/ allergy Carly is having can come from mixing alcohol with SSRIs. You get drunk way faster/ blackout without having to drink much so maybe it could be that?

I disagree with the no kissing onthe lips. 1. It’s not that crazy to have a conversation like that. 2. If my SO said they aren’t comfortable with kissing on the lips then NO kissing on the lips. The husband is an asshole. I don’t care what background you had growing up. Compromise??? What compromise. 3. She is definitely not being dramatic. The NY tik tok drama has been my hyper fixation lol. I feel like Reed is clearly not comfortable on camera so I think having him on the podcast was a terrible idea. I’ve followed her for a while on tik tok and I do think her & Reed seem happy & she seems sweet. To me Sophia’s video was weird because why was she going on & on about how nice Reed was on 2 dates over a year ago lol. She kept going on as if he was a dream guy. I agree the response to Sophia from other creators were wild - the vids were so mean

The live variants Taylor releases are generally only available in the US as far as I’m aware so I feel like it only really impacts the US charts. Re: Taylor Swift “blocking” artists: I keep seeing people regurgitate the same chart illiterate narrative (no shade). If you’re going to keep mentioning it, and speaking about it so matter-of-factly, do yourself a favor and look into it for yourself so you can make sure you’re not misinformed. I remember you both talking about how people who aren’t media literate are frustrating, but that’s how you both come off sometimes.

wait nooo as a chronically online new yorker you got the halley sofia drama very wrong. i will say you were correct in this scenario that everybody sucks, but in this situation halley really did nothing too wrong given what they did to her. basically halley was in a pretty public relationship with Reed for almost a year. they break up in November because Reed got scared and didn’t want to move in with halley, when she wanted to move in with him. Halley talked about the breakup on her podcast and her tik tok and said very nice things about reed, she was happy he didn’t string her along, and although devastated, she was trying to move on. until about 2-3 weeks later it blows up on the NYC influencer reddit that sofia and reed were on a date at a very sceney bar in nyc that is a hotspot for influencers. this is how halley finds out about it, she texts sofia to confirm bc obviously it came from reddit so who knows, sofia never replies. this all happens a few days after they (sofia and halley) were at an influencer event and halley opens up to everybody there about struggling with her breakup. sofia then takes this opportunity after learning reed is single to go through halley’s following and DM him and ask him on date. sofia and halley definitely weren’t close friends by any means, but the situation was still super shady, they ran in the same circle, had been on multiple brand trips together and hung out in groups pretty occasionally, this is all documented by their social medias at the time so sofia saying they met maybe three times is wild. halley then takes it to tik tok, but at this point anybody that knows NYC drama knew about it anyway, very mostly mad at reed and not sofia. sofia’s comments blow up obviously and she’s commenting back very snarky and rude to halley, saying reed ‘looks better on her’ calling her by her last name that a lot of people didn’t know at the time since she goes by halley kate making fun of it, all this shit. sofia then does a whole podcast of her own about the situation, so erin saying she never talked about it until now is very false. she’s been throwing jabs at halley since November. i think if sofia just went on the date with reed, ran it by halley and kept it private, this could’ve been fine. but they did it in a very overt way to upset halley in my opinion. reed is the worst. it’s very clear he doesn’t love halley and is in it for the money and hopefully one day she realizes that. but sofia is a MEAN MEAN girl. also the only one calling her ‘ginger bitch’ is ken eurich who is insane in her own right, not sure where you got that being all the NYC influencers. ALSO HALLEY IS 24 NOT 30 LMFAO WHAT😭😭😭
