As a Nurse I understand how frustrating all this is in the beginning. As a home nurse I deal with new ostomies on a regular and I just feel your frustration. I don't know if you where a canidate for a reversal but if not Im sure you have figured out what products work for you because it does get better. ❤💯 BIG HUGS!! ❤️

You say there are no safety tips / things you shouldn’t do with the oil and you did your own card to hand to people. It looks like you just haven’t been lucky to have a knowledgeable, truly caring mentor who would voice out these tips. I heard all of these during the first meeting and knew exactly how to apply safely even for my toddlers. Everyone has their own experience, it doesn’t mean doTERRA is bad, otherwise 12mln people worldwide wouldn’t be in the business for so many years, it’s just not for everyone. I don’t judge you, I respect your position and I sincerely wish you find the occupation that makes you happy and fulfilled. 🙏

Take your vitamins. Watch what u eat that causes it. Make appointments early in day. Dont eat till u get back home or are on way home. Watch what u drink and when..cold used to be a real trigger when i had 1..so i knew no sluhies or blow out.❤😊

In 2016 I was invited to a DoTerra Convention out in Utah. I was completely turned off my the whole set up. You had 20,000 people from all over the world gathering a stadium being pumped with diffused oils from behind our seats. They proceeded to display where they source these high-quality oils from on these large mega-screens. There was a family located somewhere in a 'third-world' country that was able to finally send their little girl to school due to their hard work hand picking and harvesting this particular herb...while the Blue-Diamonds stood on stage crying about how they were able to buy their second mansion and 5th sports car. ... In conclusion....grow your own sh*t in your own garden, support your local herbalists and farmers...connect with the land that you walk on.... I have a son who was born with an imperforated anus, meaning there was no opening where the anus should be but it was corrected with surgery when he was about two years old. Can yours be reversed? I hate when bag failure happens. It's never convenient but at least you're home. Had mine blow out this morning at home too. I had crap all over the floor in the bathroom before I got things controlled. My bedding wasn't affected. Just my hernia belt and my bathroom floor.

Hi Austin I had an osteomy for a year before the anastamosis (reattaching the colon to the rectal stump). But I had a full year of osteomy adventures! Including blowouts, minor blockages, extreme farting, and other fun times. I used an adhesive powder coupled with the regular adhesive ring for the appliance attachment. I'm so sorry, I take care of a ,90 y.o. man who has had one for 40 years. He deals with it. I guess that's what you need to do. I don't have one, I've got other things. Life is ALOT of work. I wish you all the best, you're so young. 😢

Due to sepsis from a hemorrhoid banding I’ve had progressive sepsis sequelae.. I’ve now had a colostomy and the Barbie Butt surgery. This wound opened up 10 days after surgery while I was still in the hospital 2 1/2 inches long by 5 inches deep. I had to have nurses coming to my home after I got home from rehabilitation every other day packing and unpacking my wound for 9 1/2 months until the wound closed. Now I have severe adhesions with nerve treatment and I am working on try to find something that will help me so I can get out of bed and have a life! I’m looking at the DRG implant Please know you are not alone. I just had a major blowout last night and here it is 3:44 AM on Monday morning and I’ve not been able to sleep because I’m paranoid. I’m gonna have another one. I’m so tired but I am grateful because I am still alive and I hope that I will get better. I know I’ll have my stoma forever, but I can deal with that. I had it before I had to have the Barbie butt surgery. I’m so sorry you’re having such a tough time but you are a brave warrior. Never forget that we are in this fight together, my friend.

My neice has one .Hers was not reversible and is in hospital now because of blockage. Had major surgery again.

I don't have colostomy, I have urostomy bag, had it for 9 years, due to cancer, my nurse told me that if you press the stoma and area near it, it will come out, in my case spurt or run out like a tap.I have to have everything spread out in front of me and a mirror, so I can see to put bag on. As time goes on you get quicker at changing bag I was slow and disorganised at beginning, but I take about ten minutes, sometimes, I still get stressed if someone's banging on the door, wanting to use the loo, I can't be rushed!.it takes time to get good at being organised with it, I have a lot of accidents with it, especially at night, if I don't connect myself up to night bag.

I’ve never had a support system. Do the best you can and take naps when you can get them. Turn your phone off when you nap. You’re situation will improve. I promise.

I've been paralyzed for 23 years, struggling with doing a bowel routine on a body that doesn't work. I'm going to have the surgery to implement the use of an ostomy bag in place of the daily bowl routine that takes hours sometimes.

I’ve had one colostomy for 6 months lucky for me I was put back together. Today I’m good yet due to kidney impacted stones I’m on another bag only for my kidney. Once I get the unpacked stone out I will have to do my left kidney. Another bag no fun at all. I have no help live alone, at times it is very hard to deal with. You can do this .

I feel for you; I helped my sister, she stayed with me for four months. She was so miserable in the beginning, but it does get better.

I got my ostomy back in nov n I m still getig used to it n I still get blow outs 8 months post op so what I started doing is putting tape around the outside of the bag medical tape n it seems to work so far

And to think I may end with this..sooo much prepping and procedure. I am afraid of it really!

Gel Makeup remover is great for getting the residue off and to clean up your hands. I say get gel because you can control exactly where it goes.
