Buddy. Die-hard, old-school Nightwish fan here. I've heard/watched the studio version, this one, and the Tampere video like a thousand times, and I ALWAYS tear up at the "...grain of sand..." and the "We were here" parts. No need to be ashamed. They manage to produce that effect on people, being such fantastic musicians and understanding that performing does not involve only perfection, but also connection with the wording and the audience. And I see Gabriel has already made contact, so you have all the information you need now. Fantastic reaction. Keep it up!

no one can tell you what to do if you feel this way. took me years to live again. possible ways to go: 1. dont listen to news most of the time, bad news are constantly pulling you down. 2. find people (a group) that is also going through stuff, at some point you will be able to talk, and once in a while someone says something seemingly small that helps a lot. and you are no longer alone, because dumping it all on a partner if you have one isent a good idea, share with them, but dont make them carry that load. 3. like near the end of the song "... look for beauty find your shore...." 4. listening to beautyful music like nightwish, music that makes you feel without draging you down. i worked out why nightwish means so much to me. it reaches down into my soul and pulls at strings that release tension in me that i cant even locate, and if i drop into the music it releases this tension in the form of tears. if i do it enough, it slowly gets easier to bear. maby try one of the above. talking to random ppl wont work most of the time because either they cant relate or they are overwhelmed with own emotion and dont want to go there. talking to ppl who are also going through this hell is good because they will understand and even if they have other issues, they will never mock, judge or ridecule you. ty for sharing this, hope you have a good day👍
