i was hopefull too, but he really wasnt well, just like us, if im sick i usually do show it, or let it slow me down until i can move any more... when i first pulled up, the dog was standing in the middle of the high way, not moving at all, just to shiw how sick it was, it was following out of pure necessity, poor thing had no idea or sense of what was going on, ive had pets go through organ failure before, this coyote showed a lot of signs of that already having been set in...

the track crew did everything they could to fix the wall before the timer was finished on round one,after the throttle on the nate ciccero mustang got stuck wide open as he entered turn 7 , in the boot, other wise known as the toe...
@badasswood
@badasswood Ай бұрын
driver nate ciccero was able to get unhooked, and step out unassisted, quite a hit, but really shows how well built the cars, and the safer barriers are... his throttle stuck briefly, very scary to see the replays from other angkes that show it more clearly... the car takes off like a sling shot after entering the turn ... nate dud an amazing job of avoiding other cars, as well as getting his car sideways, so it didnt hit straight on, all in the blink of an eye... it was a massive impact, the glen safety crews are an amazing team, this is race 1 of the imsa mustang challenge series, all identical cars, battling for pro / am title, its a timed 45 minute event, so unfortunately the entirety of the race was under caution, while track safety crews fixed the wall...

Hey thanks for the video! I’ve been getting after it pretty good. I have quite a few pieces I made and they are ready for finish and I used the helmsman spar just like you have and it won’t dry! I’ve been trying to troubleshoot. My saw spits bar oil on the price and I rinse off with a hose when I’m done then let dry to under 15 or around 15% then I apply. It’s bout 62ish degrees and not humid. I’m in eastern Washington. Any idea where my issue is coming from? I hit it with a bunch mineral spirits and now I’m trying a sanding sealer now and spar varnish it still seems kinda tacky. Not sure tho it’s still drying
@badasswood
@badasswood 4 ай бұрын
Stir it don't shake it. If that doesn't change things. Then it's in your wood the Wood is still Too wet. You can try buying buying the helmsman. Spray can. Spare varnish. That usually tends to harden things up really quick and good. I use that spray spar varnish for a lot of interior Stuff. mineral spirits will never let the varnish dry, it needs a high solids oil, or wax , typically though It is either a mixing issue with the varnish itself or it's a moisture issue with the wood. I would say 7 out of 10 times or 8 out of 10 times. It's moisture in the wood that causes the issue. But I've had varnish fail on me because I didn't Stir it long enough or I shook it instead of stirred it. It can happen depends on how old the varnish is as well.if you have ever pulled a skin off the top, thats all the hardening stuff gone past its prime...2 months untouched and varnish starts to set up in the can, if its been opened, they are hard to get open new, because they are vsmaccum sealed, so they dont go bad sittin on the shelves

Watching you work on details helps so much. I love your bears. Just watched this video as well as the German Shepherd stump you carved. Didn't know you had been injured, but glad you're recovering from it. I've seen enough injuries from chainsaws, as well as angle grinders, that I'm pretty cautious about them. Hope you continue to improve daily. Crazy how we know things and still put ourselves in harms way sometimes. I feel you on being hyper aware after the fact. I never thought a bug bite could take me out, but after getting Lymes disease from a tick bite, and having my life turned upside down, I am hyper aware of taking the precautions to protect myself. Not just from bug bites, but a lot of other things as well. PPE and proper handling are so important. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I hope you're able to find some things that help your pain in your hands and arms. I have heard positive things about ozone therapy, so maybe check that out. I also take my mom to a pain and spine clinic where they give her shots in her back, hips and hands. It helps so much with her pain. Worth looking into. Best wishes, and don't give up.

lol, if you watch enough of my videos, you can see my 9 month battle with lyme disease, chances are very high that even years later, it played a role in my getting injured, i have lingering affects from lyme, it never leaves the body, the struggle is real, but all we can do is take every day for what it is and make the best of it!😊😊

Great video. I didn't even think that Makita made a chainsaw. I love Makita tools. I just got the Stihl MSA 70 C, also because it's lighter weight, battery powered, and has the adjustable speed. Also, it will fit carving bars when I can invest in them as well. I am just starting out, and still have to learn the chainsaw, but learning all the time. Thanks for sharing.

you can get a cheap carving bar off ebay for around $25. they arent great but good for learning... i think about tools like i do going out, a movie date, or dinner date thats a carving bar, and chain😊, but ill do the movie or dinner date once a week if i like her enough, i only buy a quality carving bar once every year or two... they last much longer than that, but i like to buy at least one bar every year to add to the collection....theres always money for carving kit, its just a matter of priority, or perspective.😊

dang! i left out the oart where i explained how to mount it to a stihl, its actually really involved, i may do it some day just to see if i can, but i abandoned the idea, because of what is involved... maybe you can find a pulley off ebay, or at tractor supply that will work, hard to say...only thing i could figure out was to spin the sprocket down to a small collar that fits inside the hub, then weld it in place. good luck with it!😊

@@richpodovelnikoff4720 in reality, you only need a pulley that fits, doesnt have to be the ones provided, ive looked at mower belt pulleys, boxes of demo saw parts, fan pulleys, and so on... typically its hard to find a pulley that small, to begin with... but pass tgat hurdle, and fitment is always possible, because the shaft size of any other pulley would most commonly be bigger...we have the fittment fir the stihl shaft, via the sprocket, just need extra sprockets, and get the turn down spinning😉😉😁
