Very interesting. So what I’m gathering, and this would be the case for me, a stress reaction would be more painful than a stress fracture at rest? A stress fracture necessitates a full break, which will be much more painful on weight bearing, but a stress reaction is just fluid and a warning sign (and fluid/swelling/inflammation can definitely ache at rest.) I am dealing with what I believe is a stress reaction in the outside of my 5th left metatarsal head. I just had right plantar fascia Tenjet surgery and have been using a knee scooter and riding it using barefoot left foot flat on the ground (bad idea, probably should’ve used a wheelchair.) Super tender to touch but doesn’t get sharp when I stand up. Only other thing I can think of is a bursitis.

I ended up with a non displaced fracture of the dorsal aspect of the radius and also fractured ulna . Both non displaced. On my dominant left hand.

I've been walking on a deformed toe for years that I dropped heavy stuff on a couple times over the years. I've tried massaging the toe & pulling on it. I think it has calcification over the "non union". I've been loading up on K2. My foot compensates & has struggled froming a bunion on my big toe. Stretching, I get popps all the way from my neck, through my hips, knees and foot by torquing on my big toe outward. The ball of my foot has been hurting for years. I wear padded shoes to get around. My toes only hurt when I launch on them. So running seems out for now.

Thanks for this. I do not run but I have been walking a lot to lose some weight and my toenail all of a sudden became very dark, swollen and tender, it appeared as if I had bleeding under the nail and it began separating from the toe, it also got infected underneath (maybe a fungus, not sure). Very painful and ugly. The dermatologist prescribed a psoriasis medication which has somehow been working but I wonder if it is in fact psoriasis.

I have hallux rigidus and was misdiagonised as a planter facitus. Even though looking at MRI report now there is no mention of planter issue. So, my "recovery" post prp injection contained loads of calf raises and big toe "strengthening" exercises Which, surprise suprise has accelerated my big toe arthritis beyond repair. There really are some horribly bad medical "profesionals" out there

My x-ray revealed mild enthesopathic change at the Achilles insertion and slight soft tissue swelling. My pain is the bottom of the heel only, and it gets better with no load and stretching exercises, but 7 weeks now, and it's not totally gone. I use massage gun sometimes. Onset was sudden after years of running pain free. Tried to run last week and was able to do 5 miles each time but with mild to more than mild pain in heel. I'm treating it as classic pf but think it could be a tear. I have short cam boot but mostly staying off of it. 😢😢😢

It may not be that big of a deal, but it feels like a bone is broken in my foot. The synovial fluid you speak of, builds up into a lump and i can literally squish it back down into my foot. Not fun. Only relief im getting is from an old walking boot.

Yes, in my personal case, ITBS most likely led to plantar fasciitis, so this makes a lot of sense. Think of the legs as a system of systems with upstream and downstream potential effects from local injuries.

@DocOnTheRunАй бұрын
Thanks for watching and I hope you found the video helpful in determining whether or not pain may be more from tissue damage or more from tissue distension due to swelling. What are typical exercises to fix plantar plate, it seems in my experience there's usually exercises that you can do to even prevent things like this all together as well as the form of running maybe the muscles that I'm landing on? I tried to look for other videos on your channel delving into this deeper it always is my left foot weather be Achilles tendon or this play interplay issue. With the left Achilles I'm figuring that it's my calf is much weaker on that left side from boxing . A more in-depth video about the exercises to prevent this would be awesome or the form of running like what is my left foot doing different than my right?
