So if i have understood this correctly if I'm travelling from Scotland to Northern Ireland we do not require a pet passport or any documentation or any treatments to do so?

Can anyone answer a question about insurance for pets going to non-EU countries? I can't find a policy that covers animals going to non-EU countries which are PETS licensed, such as Switzerland. They all seem to be restricted to EU members.

@robby roams is there any chance you could send me the vets details you used in Northern island so I can try and do this exact thing for my sausage dog 😁 id appreciate that 👍

Very neat and tidy conversion. I looked at converting a Boxer / Ducato, personally to save money I would just have a toilet and outside shower. I would use a solar power bank linked to additional Lithium battery (s) which would take up less space plus 2 solar panels on the roof (additional fold out solar panel as well) which you could install yourself. I would either have an LPG gas oven or a small electric one or microwave plus induction hob for £50. Twin gas hob perfect. Only install a heater if you are using the van in colder climate or winter ? I would have a pull out fridge under the bed or seat. Folding double bed or split so you can access the rear "garage" from inside the van ?

Just wondering if the vet in Northern Ireland registered the passport with an England address? If so could I have the details please? We usually get an AHC but we are going to Norway and it’ll be so much easier with a passport

Hi Robbie, I love the Lake District, I took my Mum every year as she had fond memories from when she was a guide. In my top 10 would be Watendlath, a stunning place with breathtaking views and Ashness Bridge, together with Buttermere, Derwentwater, Ullswater and my favourite,Coniston. I have your book and thank you.

Thanks for this, it has clarified things for me as I am taking my two dogs, to Belgium soon. My own vets don't offer the AHC service, but the vet kindly told me of one who charges £90 and £30. I had asked at another local vet, their charges are £300 for the first dog then another £40 per additional dog. I will be bringing chocolates back for the vet :)

"...and despite its name, there's only one body of water in the region that's technically designated as a lake". Compoletely untrue. Bassenthwaite Lake may be the only 'body of water' with the word 'lake' in it's name, but to claim that the others are not 'technically designated' as lakes is total bullshit. 'mere' and 'watetr' (which are included in the names of the rest of the larger lakes,) are words derived from historical names for 'lake' in cumbric, old norse, and anglo-french. Even the minor lakes - the 197 tarns are 'technically designated as lakes'. According to the Oxford English Dictionary, a tarn is "A small mountain LAKE, having no significant tributaries" Surely you accept the OED as being important enough to 'technically designate' things?

Hi thanks for the video, but Im going to be in Oxford and wanted to take a train for a day trip. Looks like the Cardiff area is the only practical location. Everything else, like Tenby, is a 4-5 hour train trip. Any suggestions for parts of southern Wales closer to England ?😊. Thanks!

Great series of travel videos Robbie. This is really engaging content and super informative. Love your laid back style and the videos are really professionally produced. This is a breath of fresh air compared with some other travel vloggers who are more interested in short term video revenue than putting out imaginative and inspiring content. Well done! Liked and subscribed.

Hi Robbie, a very interesting and informative video, thanks. We're heading to France in September for a month and were planning on getting an AHC for our 3 year old dog but are now thinking we will go down your suggested route. For background, our dog gets regular monthly worming treatments and is fully vaccinated with DHP, L4, KC but has never been abroad before nor had a rabies vaccination. I think I am clear on the process but would you mind just confirming my understanding so we don't have a wasted trip; 1. We can travel with our dog directly to NI without an AHC or any further treatments other than those he already has. 2. A vet in NI can vaccinate my dog with an EU/NI issue rabies vaccination, and after checking his microchip and worming, can issue us with a pet passport. There is no minimum time between arriving in NI and visiting the vet. 3. Once we have the PP we can travel immediately back to the UK Mainland but would need to wait at least 21 days after the rabies vaccination before travelling to France. Thanks in advance for your help Robbie!

Hi Robbie. My wife and our dog Agertha are seriously thinking of travelling in the first instance to Northern Ireland before we travel to France then Spain for our daughters wedding in October of this year. Is it possible you could supply us with the details of the vet you visited in NI for the EU passport. Just found you today on utube and your vlog was informative. We have subscribed and will be looking at your travel guide books. 👍 Regards Dave, Nicki and Agertha🐶

Based on your videos we just switched our vacation this summer from Devon to Cornwall. Thanks for your videos, they are not the typical, sometimes a big cringy, vlogs about traveling with strange background music and also we are going to spend the Trip with our dog like you did, so importance is on walkability and dogfriendliness too.
