I was fortunate to be at this show … and about 8 other VH shows in my life. They never failed to impress me, and take me to a happy place. Thanks for all the great memories and vibes! Rest easy King Edward 🎸

Rolling Stone magazine what do they know anyway Eddie is the greatest guitarist that ever lived there will never be no equal nobody will come close I've been listening to Van Halen for over 40 years my favorite group of all time I listen to Van Halen every freaking day all day at work while I'm driving it's 10:00 now at night and I'm still listening to them Eddie had something that no other guitarist has that's what made him great that's what made him stand out rest in peace Eddie I still can't believe that you're gone I was really devastated when I heard it over the radio Q104.3 in New York I think it was like 12:00 or 1:00 in the afternoon something like that I actually cried No Lie I was down the whole day for a couple of days it's like a bad dream rest in peace Eddie love you brother❤❤

Eddie's playing was awesome. I love how he is giving Randy Rhoads some tribute in this song. They both influenced each other and the rest of the 80s guitar players.

Thanks for sharing. Hindsight I should have been there but after seeing prior Live shows on YT I wasn't digging DLR voice. Last time seeing EVH Live for me was Hershey Park w/ Cherone. ✝️🎸

NUMBER ONE IS MEASURED FROM THE TIME THE OTHER NUMBER ONE CEASED TO MOVE TO THE NEXT LEVEL HENDRIX WAS NUMBER ONE BUT NEVER BOTHERED ABOUT MOVING UP TO THE LATEST LEVEL THE NEXT LEVEL WAS EVH AND WE MUST REALISE THAT HE COVERED ALL LEVELS OF ROCK GUITAR PICKING THAT WILL BE PLAYED AFTER 30 YEARS ON RIP EVH

I made the argument the other day that without EVH the other 3/4s would have been just another band at the Whisky. Not to slam the other guys, because as a whole they really made everything gel. But I remember when the 1st album came out, I saw them at a little venue in Wichita Falls, TX. Leading up to the show a few people had the new album. You Really Got Me was on the radio and American Bandstand. Now I can say with great certainty that I never heard anyone say, "Hey, you've got to hear this bass!" or "Hey, you've got to hear this singer or drums!" Not that they were not entertaining but the thing I heard from everyone was "You have got to hear this!" and then you heard Alex's drum roll and pure, unadulterated controlled chaos and mayhem ensued... Jaw-dropping guitar sounds that no one had heard before .. We had heard slight hammer-ons, some pull-offs before but nothing like the joyful carnage that was EVH and Eruption. That made people stop and look wide-eyed and ask " Who the hell is that? And how the hell is he doing that!!!??? When I finally went to the show, Rick Derringer opened but everything changed when Van Halen took the stage. Derringer was the old guard and VH kicked the door open on the new..

this is such a great version honestly, Dave and Eddie, might hate each other previously, but in later years, not here. well, a little hate. but, a great version, and that's how it goes with VH lol for fans. take that Wolf.
