Very nice video! I grew up off Highway 2 on Stevens Pass and love that you mentioned some lesser-know destinations that are little gems.

A lot of great content here - both the hikes and the advise. I'll have to try some of the easier hikes that my knees will allow that I haven't done yet. To add to your list, another great place to hike in Seattle is Carkeek Park - there is a great little trail system there. Also, a couple of nearby waterfall hikes are Twin Falls & Bridal Veil Falls. This area is just chock full of great places to get outside.

Oh come on, it's cream cheese *and grilled onions*. The onions are crucial! 😆 Seriously though, great video. I've lived in the area my whole life, but I'm still getting to know the city properly after moving here in late 2019. You (and the comments) have given me a great list to start with.

Have you heard of female urination devices? They could be useful for girls and women who go camping and hiking

Great List! If they need hikes closer to seattle West Tiger 1,2, and 3 are located close to poo poo point with great views. If they need a workout the Cable Line Trail to West Tiger 3 is good.

Don't worry by the summer it'll be completely broken down! you could even plant with it as it now but the eggshells definitely need to be crushed into smaller pieces manually. me personally I wash them, let them air dry and then throw them in the blender!
@KellyLiraАй бұрын
thank you for the encouragement and tips! i should do that next time for my eggshells! i've just been crushing them with my hand

Hi! it's good I bumped into your vlog, I found it very nice. I was there last year (2023) and seeing your vlog makes me want to go back bec.there are still many places I want to see and experience. Thank you for sharing. BTW, I am watching from the Philippines.

From my experience, usually i find success doing 30% greens (food scraps, egg shells, grass, etc) 70% brown (leaves, paper, sticks coffee grounds, etc) and it takes a couple months to fully break down. Also eggs shells for me personally TAKE SOOOOO long to break down, id recommend grinding them up finely then adding. Worms also do a good job at eating excess scraps. (just dont put them next to the house cuz it might smell a little if the balance is off lol) Would love to see how your compost and garden progress!😊 Edit: If you're into flowers and flower bushes, i'd recommend planting them asap so you can watch them grow over the years and you and Noelle can appreciate them! 😁
@KellyLiraАй бұрын
thank you so much for this!! this is encouraging and very helpful! and for the flowers - we already planted flowers in 2 planter boxes together! we still have lots more flower plans for the garden too :)

Thanks for the details on which side of the plane to sit on to get the best view when flying into Seattle. Since you use starboard and port terms, for those who don’t know these terms, starboard is right side and port side is left side.

Please go back to Cali. We aren’t into the hyper capitalist mindset you bring to the area and you’re driving up the cost of housing. (the Kim Kardashian tone to your voice is cringe)
@Sarahthompson2237Ай бұрын
It is Crazy expensive! Crowded, horrible traffic, smoky summers, crime. Rents are very high! Don’t expect to get into ‘ affordable housing’ like this video states. There are years long waitlists. Gas alone is extremely expensive- the highest in the nation. It’s a fun place for sure, but it’s gentrified and only for the wealthy.
