So I'm a year late getting into Voiceplay, but I've seen many reactions to this song. You two missed the B0 that Geoff went down to in the beginning. It might have sounded like a rumble or growl, it's the next to last ivory key on a piano, to the point of being a subterranean to sub harmonics. Some of you will get that from Oogie Boogie Song

The late Luther Vandross with the young Mariah Carey singing a song that became an instant classic when it came out in the 70's (when sung by Lionel Ritchie and Dianna Ross) was considered reborn when these two sang it at Wimbledon. A critique of too long and too slow feels like saying Mozart played the piano too much. May I suggest having another listen in a quieter setting, maybe listen to the words and the vocal coordination of these two.

At one point VoicePlay asked Rachel to be a member but she was Nashville bound. Same thing with Ashley Diane (although I've heard of them having her as a guest) but she's also in Nashville.

When a manufacturer of a big company trusts you to be a spokesperson... This is what (among other stuff) happened to Tina...for the manufacturer of the Vigier guitar brand. Name anyone as young as Tina was at the time, asked to act in like capacity! Tina is above anyone and everyone, male or female, as a guitarist. TINA SETKIC has become the manual, the source to be studied. There is a video that features both Tina and Dr Viosy simultaneously playing the guitar version of Beethoven "Moonlight Sonata 3rd movement" that Viosy wrote. Here she uses basically the same figuring on the fretboard as Viosy but with so much less effort than the doctor! Someone also put a video together with Tina and Ingwie Malmsteen playing his song "Arpeggios from hell". Needless to say that Tina's rendition was effortless and absolutely crystal clear and precise. By now I hope you have followed the the suggestion on doing Jason Becker's "Altitudes", Steve Vai's "For the love of God" and Gary Moore's "The Loner" - all covers that Tina has done. I like your reaction. You guys are so cool. Keep it up.

This version makes me cry. The backing lyrics at around 5:20 just make their interpretation punch your feelings even harder. This feels very much like my internalized version of this song when it first came out. Geoff, Layne & Eli are in their early to mid 40’s, Cesar is late 20’s & Anthony is very early 20’s (if that). They tried to be very minimal here & I think it lent itself to the tone of this. It’s carefully stripped back for vulnerability & they really played into the reflective vibe they achieved. I think the diversity in ages really helps create a more rounded version & it shows off all of their strengths so well.
