I haven’t used worm castings in my garden but I do use them with most of my indoor plants. It works so much better on most plants. I use MSU fertilizer with my orchids but for all my plants that are in soil I mix worm castings in. The plants really thrive with worm castings. I am thinking of using them on my blackberry plants next year.

@lyubafranco
@lyubafranco 4 күн бұрын
Hello and thank you for watching my video. There are a few factors that can lead to your pumpkin plant producing only male flowers. This is typically normal in a you get plant as male flowers typically appear and open up before female flowers, if the plant is already established yet there are still no female blooms, it can be high air temps, drought or lack of nutrients in soil (fertilization). Make sure that the fertilizer which you'll be using has higher potassium and phosphorus numbers. I would also work in some bone meal around the root ball. Be well and Happy Gardening!!!

Thank you for such great tips! I really leveled up my deadheading game this season. What a huge difference it made on multiple varieties of roses. In particular, the dog roses went from single blooms to huge clusters and even the colors deepened. Japanese beetles were , as usual, terrible, but I consistently deadheaded damaged blooms every day as well as removed/destroyed any beetles. I'm spraying 2x week with a tea tree mix while my neighbor uses neem. We're both seeing an equal rate of infestation. We'll try spraying more frequently ❤

All I have been doing for years was to spread at the base and around my roses about three inches layer thick of rabbit manure in late Fall and then cover it with a thick layer of shredded leaves, and they have always been blooming like crazy. I don't do anything else, except occasional spraying from bugs. I realize that rabbit manure may be hard to find. I made friends with farmers at a local farmer's market, and there is always a guy, who knows a guy , who knows a guy... who has tons of some kind of manure for almost free.

Hello and thank you for watching my video. Most of the time a rose shrub doesn't bloom because of stress. How does the foliage look on those roses? It is dark green and glossy or are you seeing discoloration, fungal disease (black spot), insect bite marks? Are these roses planted in a full sun location? When is the last time you fertilized them? Typically roses put on their first set of flower buds in mid Spring. Have you're roses put on any flower buds at all? Another question I have to ask is what has the weather been like in Colorado? Be well and Happy Gardening!!!

Great suggestions, thank you! I've heard about removing early flowers on tomato plants, but never had the heart to do it. Next Summer I will do an experiment with a couple of my pepper plants and see if they do better than the plants of the same variety planted side by side without any early flower removal. I am in upstate, NY, Albany area, so your videos are even more relevant, as we have somewhat similar climate, us being in Zone 6b (used to be 5a a few years ago). I recently discovered Datil peppers, which are unique to St. Augustine FL, and till recently the seeds were closely guarded by the local community (they sell all kind of Datil-based products, and even have an annual Datil Pepper festival). Same heat level as habanero, but much fruitier stronger flavor, and sweet, not bitter. Nowadays one can buy the seeds online, I bought mine from Raymond Powers, who has a short video about Datil peppers on youtube. Thanks again for the great videos! Subscribed.

Hello and thank you for watching my video. I actually have a few bags of gladiolus bulbs in my shed that I didn't get to plant earlier in the season. Typically gladiolus is planted from the day of last anticipated frost through July for continuous blooms. To store gladiolus bulbs you'll need to make sure that you keep then in a dry, dark, cool ( not below 40 F), ventilated location. I like to keep an eye on my bulbs throughout the storage period. I always touch/smell the bulbs to make sure that they remain firm to the touch and I don't see nor smell mold/rot. Be well and Happy Gardening!!!
