I’ve played an unhealthy amount of this mod in the last 5 days, I’ve had 3 hellfire steel watch titans spawn simultaneously along with a red dragon, got to the point where we got the level 20 mod just to keep up. S tier mod

Years and years ago I created an entire DnD campaign based around a roguelike arena system. I made this campaign because I wanted to play Divinity Original sin 2's combat without the story, as I had beaten in several times over. Sadly no "combat only" or "arena style" mod existed for DOS:2 so I made a DnD campaign for my friends. I'm very stoked that this mod exists!!

Honor mode is definitely easy. I just assembled some random party without any overpowered build, did not apply any tactics beside "Hit the enemy with damage" and what was necessary for a boss, yet walked through it like it was cake.

The game difficulty seems to scale mostly with the player's understanding of how the game actually works. In my first playthrough (balanced) I had difficulties but mostly because I had no idea how dnd worked and the game's tutorial doesn't even explain the basics. In my second playthrough I went for tactician and it felt too easy. The AI never gets smarter, the number of enemies doesn't change, the game never punishes you for using abilities that are strong in almost every situation, and most bosses don't have enough HP to survive the first two turns.

@@SaHaRaSquad Yes definitely. However the downing mechanic also ensures that you can basically not loose a fight. As long as at least one character is still standing you can always recover from every situation, and invis potion, sanctuary and so on basically guarantees your safety. The only thing that really gets you in honor mode is facing an overwhelming force with no way of escaping.

@TheTwober last time I tried honour mode I always get wrecked by the paladins so I have lots to learn especially as a newbie to these type of games🙏 But @SaHaRaSquad brought up in their comment a really good point and that it really boils down to your experience and game knowledge and personally I have not played a Baldurs Gate or D&D game before this one so it is a bit intimidating for people like me just starting to get into it but I can’t deny that I am absolutely hooked…!

BG3 is one of those games that could be the only game you play for the rest of your life. 10 playthroughs would be fun each and every time, and with 200~ each run, you have 2,000 hours of game time. Start to add mods like this and the playtime is endless and rewarding
