In CoP (may also work in SoC), if you shoot down a raven, more than one will spawn to replace the dead one. After 20' of shooting ravens there will be hundreds in the sky.

Knife works on duty gate as well. Bolt is technically faster and more efficient, but knife works if you are just messing around for fun. Heavy stab in the same spot you would throw the bolt.

The shotgun shells actually do make sense. Standard 12 gauge shells are 2 3/4" long, which is about 70mm. The naming is unconventional, but 12 gauge by 70mm, or 12x70, does make sense. You just wouldn't see it written that way.

wait, you can't just run from the Cordon to Prypyat, the red forest is locked behind the story missions. Finding documents in the X labs to destroy the brain scorcher that blocks all advance into the centre of the zone. There's even a road block before the red forest you have to protect from Monolith incursions before you can even enter it. The ppl guarding that road block stop you if you try. So i guess you're using that mod.
